Hmm. Let me count.
(counting counting counting still counting)
Spirit comes from latin - spiritus - it means wind (as in the wind that blows). Religious people are full of it. What they are short of is any real understanding of what their Bible is actually saying to them.
The thought that occurred to me after reading that question and the answers it inspired made me think of a jigsaw puzzle - an 'infinite jigsaw puzzle' that goes into infinite dimensions.
Next came the idea that we are each one piece of that jigsaw. Next - you may recall those old wooden jigsaws made of many layers of thin ply - we each have many layers, but each layer is us individually.
So, and this is simply an idea, a very loose hypothesis. We all have one soul which covers an unknown depth of layers, but each of us fits into The Whole. We are each an infinitely tiny fragment of a Giant Spirit beyond our wildest imaginings.
Don't try giving it a name, though - people are liable to go to war over names.
i have a bar in my gameroom that is well stocked so i guess i have lots of spirits.
We don´t just have a spirit. We are the spirit. Each one of us is one little piece of it.
In the whole universe is only one single spirit. And the whole universe is in this one single spirit.
According to the hermetic laws, all is one and one is all.

Do you consider yourself spiritual or religious, and what do you see as the difference?

There are many religious beliefs out there, but for some reason they seem to all be filtered through science. If most of the Bible is written in parables then should the Word be taken literally? When the dicisples speak of the mustard seeds and moving mountains, we know it is a parable to apply to everyday living. But many times people use the Bible literally to prove their point of view. How...
