If you are active at church, what compels to you to be involved?
What does your church do well to drive you to give of your time there?
It's not about what the church can give me. It's about what I can give back to God by serving in the church. My love for God compels to be active at church. For instance, I use my singing talent to sing praises to God in the church choir on Sunday mornings.
I am not active in church right now. Until recently my husband was the pastor at our church and I found in the ministry that whatever opinion I had, people assumed that my husband had the same opinion. I had to be very careful because I can be very outspoken. So during the 15 years he was the pastor at our church, I stayed in the background so I wasn't a stumbling block to his work.
He has retired now and I can join in and give my own, honest opinion so they better look out! :-)
I enjoy the fellowship and getting to know others with like minds and hearts. It's also great to take time to get the focus off of yourself and get to know others and you soon realize you are not alone. Everyone has hardships. It's how you respond or handle them that shows your great Faith or lack thereof.
I also love worshiping with brothers and sisters who share a passion and love for our wonderful Lord!
I am active as a choir singer. I sing because I love God and i have a passion for the music I sing.
I am the bass player in our praise and worship group. I do it because I love playing music and because it is what God gave me the talent to do.

I do it to give knowledge of God and also to help people understand (I am a teacher at Temple)
We don't conduct any business, not even bake sells. We don't believe in it.
John 2:14-16
14. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting
15. And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables;
16.And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise
I love the church I attend, but I'm not particularly 'active.' I'm rather low key so I just go to honor God and be part of the congregation.

What right do we have to judge either it be in a church or in the world what makes you have the rite

I've really enjoyed writing over the last year, but I often find myself wondering why the heck I am doing this. The prospect seems pretty slim that I will ever make enough money to even come close to justifying the time investment. So what compels me to keep going? What (honestly) compels you to...

As a Christian, tell us who you give to, what you work you have been involved in the community or at church and tell us why. What has God been teaching you about these things lately?

What compels you to help others?I'm curious about what triggers either the desire to help others, or the feelings of obligation to help others. What makes you decide, either impulsively or after some consideration, to offer your assistance to another person? Does the person in need make a...

Why is the Pope getting involved in US Politics by sparring with Donald Trump?Saying Trump isn't a Christian is a very decisive statement
