Is anyone else not the least bit surprised that the Rapture on May 21st was absolute BS?
Why do religious figures need to make bogus predictions? Do they not realize that because of their ridiculous apocalyptic predictions that they have led their gullible followers to financial and physical ruin, having sold their houses, dissolved their life savings to warn others, killed themselves, sold all they owned, etc.? Now what are those poor saps supposed to do? I saw a guy on the news that dissolved his 401k and children's college savings to take out billboard ads to warn people. Now what are his kids going to do? Are end of the world predictions something that should be illegal?
I am not surpriced since I study the Bible and know it is wrong.
People should just know better and not care. If the world is going to end then it's going to happen and there's nothing we can do to stop it.
not in the slightest
not in the slightest
not in the slightest
Not in the slightest - especially when scripture tells us:
"BUT OF THAT DAY AND HOUR NO ONE KNOWS, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only." (Matthew 24:36 NKJ)
"BUT OF THAT DAY AND THAT HOUR KNOWETH NO MAN, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father." (Mark 13:32 KJV)
"Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and THOU SHALT NOT KNOW WHAT HOUR I WILL COME UPON THEE." (Revelation 3:3 KJV)
"But there were also FALSE PROPHETS among the people, even as there will be FALSE TEACHERS among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies..." (2 Peter 2:1 NKJ)
"Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us - whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter - asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction." (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 NIV)
I'm just surprised that it got so much publicity. Hey, for all we know the rapture did come and it's just that everybody who thought they were going to be picked was left here, because they are a bunch of sanctimonious morons. I guess we'll know in October if the second half of the prediction comes that states the earth will be destroyed.
Anyone over 40 can tell you we've heard the 'end of the world' a dozen times, at least.
It's just more ho-hum.

I asked the question but yet, have my own answer. I am just curious as to what anyone else might think as well. From my perspective, I find it rather funny that even on a website directed mostly at adults that we find such a great deal of immature attitudes reflective of hatred towards us as...

Does anyone else use the word, 'tifling'? If so, why can't I find it in any dictionaries?I wanted to use the word 'tifling' in something I was writing, but it came up underlined, so looked it up in online and hard copy dictionaries and could not find it. Is it a word that just our family uses? It...

Sometimes I have to slap myself around a bit...I'm a poet, and I have some work that I am very proud of...but when it comes to sharing my work, online, or simply giving someone a poem of mine to read, I get all weird and uncomfortable about it, like I feel that at the very least they won't know how...
