Why do you believe in Jesus?

Because the Holy Spirt has been with me, since I excepted Jesus as my saviour. He continually works His works to sanctify me. I thank you Father.

I believe in Jesus because I was raised in a Christian home. However, I continue to believe in Jesus because I want to be more like what I read in the Bible and what I see the world needing right now. We need someone willing to stand up and say this is wrong, we need to love each other more and discriminate less. I see the need to have someone show me the way to a better life, and for me, that is Jesus.

I guess you want to know why I believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Savior of all mankind. I believe that Jesus is God (the second person of the Holy Trinity) because He said that whoever sees Him sees the Father. He also backed His teachings on love and compassion with many miracles, including raising the dead. He didn't seek His own glory, but attributed all credit to God the Father. After raising from the dead He appeared to many of His disciples. He had such a deep influence on the people of His times that after they watched Him ascend into heaven they were willing to die for their faith in Him. I could go on in much greater detail but it would make for too long an answer. Suffice it to say that Jesus' great influence and legacy lives on to this day, and it will go on forever ("Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my word will never pass away." - Matthew 24:35).

I came to Him by researching if it was true that people are lying about Him not existing. And of course they were lying as I know for a fact Jesus Christ lives now.

I believe now because I feel His presence changing me into a new man everday. Each time I think I can't do any better, can't be more humble, or want to give up... I turn to God my Father and my Jesus Christ and it turns out nothing can hold me down or make me hateful.

Even when I do horrible things I think I won't do, He shows me somehow and fixes me every time. I can do good because of Him. I have the strength to be humble, and apologize and keeping doing good instead of giving up and being hateful.

I can keep loving my brothers and sisters, and it is only because of Christ.

He has walked every step with me and NEVER LEFT. When I thought I was alone, He was standing right there. And when I thought my world was ruined, when I finally gave my life to Him to hold in His hands....

He fixed everything, and gave it back... He doesn't want to take it, He just wants to fix it and make me a better man. . .

And it's happened hundreds of times. That.. is why I believe in my God and Saviour Jesus Christ the King of kings.

Because I highly doubt everything we have today came from just dumb luck. Someone created us. And he might have been interested in us for a while, sending his son perhaps. But since we have been looking at the vast universe he has created, I think he has a few other things on his mind than just us.

I believe because there is nothing to disprove His claims.

I believe in Jesus because although I went through an adolescent phase of doubting and even rejecting him, he saved me when I was at my lowest point. He has been there all my life but not until I asked him into my heart, was I able to have a relationship with him. I believe in Jesus because he is.

You know, Susanna, I have tried answering questions less complexed than this, and Hubpages wouldn't allow my answer because they said it was too long and suggested I write a Hub instead. I ended up erasing half of it just to get it in.

Wow, you talk about a loaded question! Girl, you have no idea what you are asking for. :0)

I'll never get it all in, but before I begin I should preface what I am about to say by stating that believing in a "god" is not the same as believing in Christ Jesus, nor is believing in a "Creator" the same as being a "Christian". Believing in a Creator does not necessarily lead one to Christ, although it is a prerequisite.

Having said that, I will skip over the whole question of why I believe in a "Creator" and begin to answer the question of why I believe Jesus is the Christ, knowing that time and space will not allow for such a monumental undertaking.

I will also have to skip over the monumental question of why I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, but will only stop long enough to say that dozens of writers, most of whom never met each other, but echoed the same story-line over the course of 1,600 years, is rather impressive.

Now that I am out of time and space, I may have just enough space to say that when one examines the Holy Bible in its entirety and reads the accounts of Christ's life in conjunction with the historical perspective and prophesies of the Old Testament, it is clear that one man fits the bill completely...and history only has one such man that fulfills ALL these prophesies and His name is Chirst Yeshua (Jesus), the only begotton Son of God.
