Who is God to you and what are your core beliefs?
I was born Catholic, learned about the church, left Catholicism, became strictly Christian, and now I'm here. I believe God is out there. I believe Jesus was real, but I also believe in the possibility of other religions as well. I believe that the core to our main belief is to simply love and respect one another as well as ourselves, no matter who they are. Who is God to you and what are your core beliefs?
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
That's the God I believe in.
As for the NT, awhile back a friend said "read the words of Jesus and nothing else." That's cool, too.
God, the invisible being, created the universe - the seen out of what is unseen. To me, He is spiritually my Father, my Maker, in whom I live, move and have my being.
God is the smallest particle of good in anything.
God is the sum total of all goodness.
Apostolic: just mean following the apostles teaching that Jesus taught himself. Our main core is Acts 2-38 which says repent everyone of you and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sin and you shell receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. And to live a holy life by walking in the Spirit and not in the flesh as Galatians chapter 5 verses 16 to 25.
I was born a Christian Scientist, went and studies as many religios traditions as possible in the time alloted. Then I read the Bhagavad-Gita and I was convinced that Lord Sri Krishna from 5,000 years ago is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. The main points are that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. The spirit is eternal, blissful, and full of knowledge. We are supposed to love all living entities and try not to cause harm to any other life form. We believe in Karma so we have to be mindful of our thoughts, and actions. We also believe in reincarnation, this is how we handle our karma until we are ready to surrender to Krishna and return back home to the spiritual world.
There are four regulative principles that we are supposed to follow: no meat eating, no intoxication, no gambling, and no illicit sex (sex out of wedlock without the intention of procreating God conscious children).
We chant, feast, and dance to glorify Krishna at our programs so it really is a fun practice.

Atheists, do you despise Jesus or just religions (in general) that worship God?Such God worshiping religions would include Judaism and Islam. Also, did something happen to you to make you angry about "God" or is this just a scientific decision you made in college?? Many atheists demand...

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth........?This first scripture confuses me a bit. We are told that God lives in Heaven, and that he has always existed. No beginning, no end. So, where did he reside before he created the heavens?
