God is too magnificent, too overwhelmingly massive, too hugely powerful to fit in 1 religion, right?
God the lord our father, creator of all that has existed, of all that ever will exist. Creator and giver of life, the cosmos, of every faithful spring flower, every darkened mighty storm. Creator of concepts, of the hereafter, of death, and time itself. Engine behind the prophets, wind to the sails of miracles. Giver of every mystery and wonder. Lover of the poor, oppressed and marginalised. The Alpha and the Omega. I put it to you that the Lord our Father is way too omni-present for us humans to sideline by placing him/her into one pitiful, man-made, single religion. Discuss.
I cant think of any religion He fits into now, though the Jewish religion before the destruction of the temple did pray to Him. As a Christian, I believe that God is not impressed with any religion.
Religion is a way to reach God, to explore HIS kindness, His mercy, His love for us, His whole goodness. Religion only tries to reveal about God and His each and every aspects. I mean it is only a mean to explain human being about God. I agree that religion is only a small part of God (completely my view, may be others disagree to me). God cannot be bound in any religion or any book. Words can't utter his power.
There is more than enough religion for us to want to kill one another, but never enough for us to love one another. There is nothing in religion that brings us closer to God.
It depends what you mean by religion. If you are talking about denominations, I could agree with that. If you are talking Muslim, Hindu, etc... Then I would have to disagree. God is definitely all of the things you stated and more but truth can't be defined in different ways because it would then cease to be truth and become opinion or viewpoint. You can't put God in a box but you also can't redesign Him to fit your chosen lifestyle. This is what these other religions try and do. I don't think that we as Christians have all the answers but I do believe that because we use the Bible as our guide, or at least we are supposed to, we are able to view the world through the eyes of God, or at least as much as He wanted us to see.
All religions are simply alternate pathways to God. Who cares what you call him? He's a supreme being by many names, but in the end, we will all be in a hereafter, judged by someone or something. Anyway, I don't believe for a minute that anyone will be judged as a group. No favorites. We will be judged as individuals with what is in our heart and if we have been true to that. No picture I.D. will be required because we all come from the same source.

If religion is about peace why are some of the worst wars caused by religion?Look at the Romans waging war against the Jewish stronghold at Masada. Hunting and killing because of religion not land, they had already fled their homes and lands. Through the years so much hate. The pagans of Ireland...

Is it Good to be Over committed to serving God?Is it possible for it to be a wrong thing to do, by being too serious with God's work and being less serious with other things? Even if serving God with all our might and strength is always the right thing to do, could we possibly do it in a wrong and...
