good point...and obviously one that bothers you...is that the root of the separarists thinking that bothers you...or are you just side-steppin' again?

If it bothered me, I would believe out of fear as most believers do.

UUUHH...That Sounds Logical...? (In accordance with your overall "Group" dynamics...way of thinking, Right?) You sure say group alot...or is it about what the individual thinks...No, with you its about not following any group...but everyone else that follows the opposite of you...follows a group. Groups are bad...kind'a like sheep. Your saying I'm a sheep...Oh, of course now...I get it. Why didn't you just come right out and say it? Groups=Sheep<Individuals=Logic...It is so simple. I'm surprised...i never thought of that...Duh? And yet...another very open-minded opinion shared by yourself. You sure impress me with your broad interpretive perception on things...Yawn.

I once had neighbors that had a few children.
One little boy would come over when ever he saw me outside working on something. He was a little distracting with his curiosity but his inquisitive nature was charming. His  brother (about a year older)would see this and he would come over. He would prevent his younger brothers inquiries with his babble, scattering my tools and parts, and spilling things. I think that he did these things intentionally because of his jealousy of the attention his brother was receiving.

Needless to say; I had my favorite.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out if you lie to well-meaning people who trust you, they'll be hurt and upset when they find out they've been played for fools.

sandra rinckposted 15 years agoin reply to this

I'd say they prolly didn't trust him but gave him the benefit of a doubt.

Marine, knowing they would 'receive him' because it would make them happy.  Distastefully played on their good nature to uncover what he foresaw as their bad nature.

The problem with Marines hypothesis, or stunt if you will.  Was that he willed the situate to take a negative course.  He started with a negative and received a negative.

Marine was no genius.  In fact, I could side in this case with the Christians or even Biblical parable.

To a pure heart shows pure, to a foul one shows itself foul.
I don't recall off the top of my head what verse this is from but it is something like this.

Regarding truth and facts.  I think both should get it out of your heads that truth and fact are the same.  They aren't the same.

Just because something is true doesn't make it a fact.  Just because something is a fact doesn't make it trustworthy.

It is true that I read the Bible.  I take a lot from it.  I find some facts in it but the facts don't make it true.

What I find truthful in it is the way humans act.  However the book itself is not literally factual.

Facts are facts for all, truth is individual.

One Christian says, Jesus came to me.  Other Christians and non christians alike say, I don't believe that that actually happened.  The beholder says now that god is a fact.

His opposition say it is not a fact.  He then changes his position and say god is a truth.

It's like someone telling me that I don't love my kid because I yelled at her.  Or I love her less because she made me angry.  It would be a fact that I yelled at her and she made me angry.  But there is no truth in reasoning that I love her less because of it.

A police officer conducting an investigation ask for the facts.  Just the facts ma'am just the facts.

A judge ask for the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilt.

In this case, Marine played the victim (read that statement carefully). Oddly, no one said anything about the Christians who embraced regardless of their doubt.  Let's take Mike for example.

Mike had an idea that Marine was blowing smoke up their arses.  He still welcomed him.  But what most saw was his doubt but you didn't see his faith.

So I say again... the irony is timeless. smile

Thank You Sir, however I disagree, but I am very appreciative of your compliment. I am ignorant in many things and I acknowledge my ignorance in many things. I see a lot of things blurry, however, I see how belief, faith, and logic work crystal clear. It is annoying at times trying to explain something I see that others refuse to see. However, I try to maintain a logical mind. Something faith does not teach.

      1. Sara Tonyn profile image59
Sara Tonynposted 15 years agoin reply to this

        I'm sorry, but you don't.

I know you can't accept that statement because you are a totally black and white thinker about all three. When it comes to faith, belief and logic everything must be exactly the way you see it or you refuse to believe it can be true. There are no shades of grey in your world which is why you can't see what others can. If you'd accept even one shade you'd realize how much you're missing.

But your mind is like a steel trap -- rusted shut. You refuse to acknowledge whatever doesn't fit neatly inside. And, sadly, there's no way anyone can force it open no matter what they say.

"I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a 44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clear off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?"

I'm not a monkey, nor do I appreciate being called one.  This is horrible Marinealways24.  This is horrible, and to think I WAS a fan.  You've been denied access as a fan of mine too.  This is an incredibly, senseless act of cruelty.  I hope you get banned.  I have reported your actions to the hubpage team, and I hope others will also.

Terrible.  What makes you think you can insult mine or anyone else's character in such a demeaning way and get away with it?

Shame on you.  Shame, shame, shame on you.  Is that what they taught you to do in the military?  Ridicule people, and to be mean and hateful to the people you once cared for you and your family?  Is that what the military teaches you to behave.  My father is a Marine.  Served 3 tours in Vietnam. You calling people like me, a marine brat who grew up on military bases all over the world, a monkey- is a direct insult on my father's character. Ever make that connection? Shame on you.

You had no right to violate my trust, and demean my character by calling us "monkeys."  You- under both identities have been flagged.

          Deception=cruelty

You have no right to deceive us into participating in a personal "science project."  Matter of fact, it is actually criminal.  Under Missouri law, I can now force HubPages to turn over all the information they have about you- and file fraud charges based off of how you wrote up your hub, and published your findings on an INTERNATIONAL website.  I never gave you consent.
I was never gave you permission, to do this TO me.  Apparently no one else gave YOU permission either.  So they would have a case too.

And furthermore, since you choose to publish you science experiment on the Internet, and since it was done across my Missouri state line- YOU've JUST VIOLATED MY HIPPA rights to privacy.  That's a federal offense. It doesn't matter whether YOU named names or not- just the fact that I unknowingly participated in your personal science experiment under my hubpage alias- is good enough.  So how's that for being a genius.  Apparently you're not a genius in medical law.

I'm very mad about this.  I trusted you.

          1. IntimatEvolution profile image73
IntimatEvolutionposted 15 years agoin reply to this

And just so you know, I've called my lawyer about this- and I'm right.  You had NO right to conduct a scientific experiment, without the written consent all the constituents involved- sign permission slips.  YOU had NO right.

Here in America, YOU don't get to scientific experiments on people's thought processes, just because you want to.  You don't get to publish your findings, that link back to this forum where our aliases are used instead of the general "monkey" term YOU used in your PUBLISHED article.

YOU have NO right to violate me, or ANYONE else's right to privacy living in America, who has participated in this forum thread.  It is against the law.  Especially because this site is set up as a business.

Who the hell do you think you are?
Well I'll tell you- not a very smart person to violate my rights, is who you are.  I'm seriously thinking of pushing forward with this thing, based solely off of principle.  You don't have the right in America, to freely hurt people without breaking some sort of law.  And I'm tired of people like you, getting off scottfree for doing stuff like this.

Yet it seems that you are the one who didn't learn anything.

          Well, you didn't sacrifice anything.

-sacrifice was necessary in hopes of finding a medicine of curing separatism.-

You idea of separatism is based on your choice to separate. In actuality, you are the 'separatist'.

-It is only logical that the bible and any religion are separatist.-
-Why did I do it? I believe in unity, not separatism.-

You say injecting a monkey with a virus so that can also find a cure to save millions is not exactly moral.

Using a monkey that was already sick, determining its sickness and then injecting them with a 'cure' that would save millions is understandable.

Making them sick, curing them and then claiming you are a hero is wrong.

In other words, for your experiment to even work, you would then have to make everyone sick with the virus you created and then cure them with the antidote you made exclusively to cure the disease you created.

I don't think you can see how fundamentally flawed you are as a scientist and a 'logical' human.

Your villainous. For lack of better word.

Hey, how's it going?  Yeah, I just stumbled upon it, and said to myself- I think this is the underlying problem to this thread.  It is the underlying problem to a lot of threads.  I've even been the mean, villainous one in charge of personal attacks.  But after I read this great hub, it knocked me off my high horse.  I think people tend to forget that other people exist behind these computer screens.  Just because you cannot see each other, does not mean you get to do or say what you want too. I've done that, and I've been a victim of that.  If all of us would read this guys hub, and remember the moral/state/federal laws that govern us as a society, we'd be okay.  Seeing how- this message is a little too late for Marinealways24 and his other aliases, maybe it would help some other hubbers before it is too late.
