God vs. Satan - if God is all-powerful, why does He not just kill Satan?
The Almighty's power is beyond measure and there are none that can rival His majesty, glory, splendor and power. He is without peers and there are none like Him.
Satan is a created being that cannot pose a threat to the Almighty. Satan is allowed to exist, but at some point, he will be terminated, and perhaps that day has already come and gone.
Please understand that "satan" just means "adversary", hence there are many "satans" in this world. It is also true that not every time that "satan" was used in the Bible, was it describing the same individual.
So, the bottom line is that satan provides a useful service to the Almighty. He (satan) offers alternatives to the truth and offers tempting little treats to those who would rather not remain faithful to the Almighty. In this stead, the Almighty is able to render Divine judgment, thus weeding out the wheat from the shaft or the faithful from the pretenders.
It is also important to realize that the Almighty did not create "satan" or any of the "satans". They became as they are as a direct result of their rebellion against God. They, too, have been given the freedom of choice and the ability to either obey and love God or disobey and hate Him. In the end...the choice was their's to make...as it is ours.
This is the truth that sets us free!
He is all - powerful, and He will in His perfect timing.
This thing called satan is powerless in the presence of God, powerless enough to be non-existent. It is we vs. satan. And it can just as powerless in our world when we allow God in our lives.
Because He allows Satan to test people so that He can know who are truly His. How can people overcome evil is there is no evil?
satan is not an entity, it is our carnal nature and wicked desires we have in these bodies.
SOM: For one who speaks of things of the Bible, you have shown an inability to understand it. I am not saying you get everything wrong...but just enough to taint your perspective and lead you away from the truth and into error. I will pray for you.
LOL Jer 17:9 The heart (not satan) is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
You CJ who follow catholic traditions are not qualified to say who knows truth and error. But thanks for praying for me anyways friend.
Because Christianity becomes nullified if there is no Satan. Christianity needs Satan to survive, since Satan is the basis of the fear utilized to keep believers blindly following a ridiculous dogma.
You should consider changing your name to "gotitallwrong".
Men fear death as children fear to go in the dark; and as that natural fear in children is increased with tales, so is it for men.
Francis Bacon
Like "rock a by baby in a tree top" some concepts we create are not meant to make sense. The God/Satan concept is a mystery that creates fear that keeps the mind on edge and uncertain due to a lack of sufficient knowledge of ones own mortality.
I was just talking about this with a friend earlier.
I believe that God only allows Satan/devil to go as far as God wants him to.
Satan believes he is over powering God when in fact God is laughing at satan as God knows that when he allows satan to show authority it is all part of Gods plan for us.
When we are at a low point in our lives, it is easier for satan to manipulate us. God allows this to happen for the mere reason of learning from this message. God will guide us to the right path. there is a reason for all.
It is also a test of strength, delusion to see who will live by truth or who will believe the lie, so God knows who to condemn.
2 Thessalonians 2:11
King James Version (KJV)
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
The message behind this
The Anarchist’s coming is all Satan’s work. All his power and signs and miracles are fake, evil sleight of hand that plays to the gallery of those who hate the truth that could save them. And since they’re so obsessed with evil, God rubs their noses in it—gives them what they want. Since they refuse to trust truth, they’re banished to their chosen world of lies and illusions.
This is from the bible gateway.com
So with that all said, satan as know say in anything, only what God allows him to do. God will always have victory.
LIke someone said, there are more than just one satan/antichrist that God talks about, some may be taken down already and some may be ready to be taken down, whatever the case God is not to be questioned as all his actions are justified. He can do whatever he pleases.

If God is Almighty, Omnipotent, All knowing etc.etc, why he do not stop the bad things his children are doing (especially in his name) and the bad things happening with his children?

What would you do if God gave you a message, and told you to deliver that message to all of humanity? I was given that message 7 years ago, and have yet to deliver it to a single person. Laugh if you want; yes I am desperate because the bus is about to go over the cliff, and if I have to beg, get...

If religion is about peace why are some of the worst wars caused by religion?Look at the Romans waging war against the Jewish stronghold at Masada. Hunting and killing because of religion not land, they had already fled their homes and lands. Through the years so much hate. The pagans of Ireland...

If God is almighty and powerful, why does He allow suffering and hunger in certain countries? It never ceases to amaze me how people have to suffer and be treated like animals because of the governments in some countries, if God can move mountains and other mighty things, why doesn't He step in and...
