   What defines Christ's Church?
   
   Christ said to Peter in Matthew 16:18 (NKJV) Upon this rock I will build my church.
   So what exactly is His Church ? Who and what are they?

   Great question . Our church is a Christ's Church of the Resurrection. I have no idea what others notions are. Ours is an overwhelming emphasis on Love and Christ. We are scripture based and traditionalists in most things.
   
   I look forward to answers, especially from those who think they are the only church.

      Oh no graceinus, we are only a couple hundred parishioners. We even just rent space at a church. But something tells me there is an organization of churches that has the name.

   "Body of Christ" Since believers have been united with Christ through spiritual baptism, they are referred to as the body of Christ. (Rom. l2:4-5; 1 Cor. l2:11,13,l8,27; Col. l:l8; Eph. 5:30) Christians in the world constitute the physical representation of Christ on earth. It is also a metaphor which demonstrates the interdependence of members in the church, while at the same time demonstrating their diversity from one another. (Rom. 12:4; 1 Cor. 12:14-17)

      In my understanding if I understand what you are asking? The "elect" would be God's people, the Jewish.

      the elect are all who accept Jesus is the messiah and repent, are baptized (2) and follow Him.   The jews are not the elect unless they recognize Jesus and follow Him also

   Christ's church is the PEOPLE who accept Him as the savior of Mankind.   That understand that He is the ONLY way of salvation.   That repent, are baptized  in water and the Holy Spirit, have a personal relationship with and follow HIM.      There is NO jew or gentile in the TRUE church of Jesus Christ.    There are no sinners , just ex sinners.   Just saints all of equal standing with some that are called to a life of servitide having more responsibility.

      Celefoe you worlds of absolutes and a nice box to fit God and Christ in is refreshing but as simpleton as gravity as an absolute.
      You sound like God's jail keeper or School Teacher. I am sure God does not need your restrictions of directions.

      eric, nothing could be further from the truth.
      unfortunately for you God is a God of absolutes as well as mercy and love.   And if there is something  I do NOT do it is put God in a box.  the veil is rent.   But I believe He means what He says.
