As a follower of Christ's teachings, what should be one's approach to people of different faiths?

In John 4:23 Jesus says to the pagan woman at the well, "For the time is coming woman, indeed is now here, when you will worship not on this mountain nor in Jerusalem but in truth and spirit."

She had 'seven husbands and truly none' and would have been considered unclean trash to Jews like Jesus, yet he chose to share one of his deepest and most important truths with her, not with the Pharisees.

So if he chose to do that, I figure present day Christians could choose to adopt an attitude of respect and hope towards everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs, gender, sexuality, or social class.

In other words, worship in truth and spirit. Share your faith by showing your kindness, respect, and openness.

That's how I see it anyway.

Treat them and their faiths with as much respect and honour as you would expect them to treat you and yours.  The old saw - Never blaspheme another man's God, if you can do it in Adonis, so to can you do it in Adonai.

Interesting. "Adonis;" "Adonai." Respect and Honour. I hear you.

To live and let live.   Example is 100% better than all the lip service in the world.  If you need to cajole then you are not doing it right.

Too true, Maggie. I would rather feel compassion in my heart than speak of it.

Unlike the practice of a certain religion, Yahshua taught that if someone didn't hear them, or their words not to judge, just leave them alone.
John 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

But there is a religion that judges everyone who is not like them. They say their whole religion is centered around Yahshua (Jesus) but they don't do as he did.
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Deborah. I hear you. Yes. Let us all be imitators of Christ.
