   Do you have or did you have a friend that is as close to you as a brother or sister?
   
   Many of us have friends that is as closes to us as brother(s) and/or Sister(s). And many are treated like family. Have you ever had a friend like this?

   Yes, I had a friend that practically lived with us in the summers. We also went to school together. We were raised together and inseparable. Tragically, I saw him killed by a car when I was 15.

      Jthomp42- It is tragic when one loses a friend at such a young age. A number of years ago when my youngest son was about 11 years old had a best friend the same age died from an illness he had for a long time. It still bothers him.  Thank you.

   I have a friend I have known since Grade School.
   We do,everything together. Including vacations.
   Last July before I had major surgery we just laughed over the dumbest things.
   We can talk about anything.
   We both love each others parents.
   And she came from a family of eight but i was adopted ( sort of)
   There is nothing we wouldn't do for each other.
   Well except for vacations. That was tough.
   It's a treasure,to have a friend you can laugh so hard with they just start laughing.
   We check on each other at least once a week.
   Seven years ago,when I was in the hospital for three months she came everyday to visit as did her youngest sister.
   It's rare to have such a friend. So,yes she is as close as a sister.
   Last summer when I was in the hospital,I,asked for,a twix candy bar. She bought a whole bag. I only asked for one.

      Lor's Stories- I am glad to see that you have such a close friend. Good friends like you describe will go that extra mile for you. It shows how much they truely care. Hang on to your friend, because she is rare. Blessings to you

      Thank you. We are lucky to have each other.
      I shared with her my secret weakness: buying purses.
      When we go shopping I zone out because I don't see anyone or hear anyone.
      I go into a purse trance. That cracked her up.

   Yes, my husband. We always said that we were each other's best earthly friend and that Jesus was our best friend ever.

   Scripturally being  natural brother or sister is not what counts.   My brother and my sister is those that love the lord Jesus.   He said "Matt 12:49  "Here are My mother and My brothers!  50 For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother."
   And yes i Have several of these and have had for many years.   Of my 6 natural brothers and sisters, I have 1 sister so far.
