My favorite has to be John 11:35; "Jesus wept". It covers His love for us when facing the last enemy of death. I pray, that when that time comes and I face death...that those tears will be tears of joy that I have received Him into my heart. And, that the same be true for every human being...that none shall perish and all shall come to the knowledge of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.
I have many, for each circumstances and situations I go through in life. The overall two verses that kind of summarizes everything is "In the beginning God.." (Genesis 1:1) and it connects "Be still and know that I am God (Psalms 46:10).
In these days it is a verse not known by all for it comes from a book men could not agree on. Perhaps that is why I like it. We seek all life for wisdom. Yet the best we can achieve is man's wisdom. //Wisdom, 3:1 But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and there shall no torment touch them. //
So while I know I am saved by grace I must strive for righteousness.
