If you could really sell your soul to the devil, what would you sell it for?
think and answer!!
Cool question. Metaphorically it is also a cool question, like if a boss tells you to dump toxic waste in a poor neighborhood.
But I am just a low Christian so I have to give you a direct answer:
For your soul to be bought and saved is the only price.
Beautiful, Eric.
That is a pearl of great price.
If someone came up to me and said they'd buy my soul for $1 I would take the $1. I don't believe in a devil so I would assume that person was just a mentally unstable person who was giving my $1 for an intangible object.
LOL..!!
this answer is over my head.. seems to be @ peeples
but i loved the answer
And yet, you'd be selling your true self into slavery. When your body dies, you might not know any better, because your true self is dead asleep, dreaming the dream of a physical life you once had.
Lone77star, you say it like that's fact with no proof whatsoever. If someone wanted to buy your spirit animal (an invisible flying donkey called Gavin) who some people think that it is the true you with no reason why. Would you feel the same way?
I would not sell my soul to the devil, not for anything. All of our souls are simply too precious.
Why? Could it be perhaps that the "soul" is your true self -- the child of God created in Genesis 1:26? God said that he will not always strive with man for he is "also" flesh. He will leave Homo sapiens behind, taking his children with him
I believe our souls leave our physical bodies and are at one with the universe experiencing eternal peace after we die.
That's truly funny and sad, if you understood your own question.
Your soul is your true self -- the immortal spirit within.
In a very real sense, most people have already sold their souls to physicality -- to ego.
Selling your soul is selling yourself into slavery. If you think you're only your Homo sapiens body, then you're likely not going to miss much, but in a few thousand or million years, your nightmare will never end, because the mission to save you will have long been over.
In the spirit of the question: I suppose immortality, eternal youth and a guarantee of freedom from accident and disease plus protection from other humans would be a good start.
Less selfishly one might require the return of all the souls they took up to now.
But I note that some people seem to have lost their soul before they die, and I wonder if they have already sold it.
All this assumes the devil exists and the soul, whatever it is, exists.
I would only sell my soul to the devil on 3 conditions.
1.) It was Gods will. Only God in his infinite knowledge would know how to write a contract that was in my favour. If there was any loopholes in it that were against me. If it wasn't in Gods will then it was not something you want anything to be a part of. A Godless existence, I imagine, would be horrible. void of goodness.
2.) I could summon an angel to act as power of attorney over the contract so that I could know the truth behind the contract and they would sign it only if Gods will. God only seeks good things for us. As for the devil this is not certain.
3.) It was in the greater good for all humankind. because I wouldn't want to have to end up a prick. (Not mankind. That might just mean men.) Careful of words.

If you were asked to sell 5 years of your life, how much would it cost? Would you accept $500,000?So you wake up tomorrow with the cash in a bag, you are 5 years older and you have missed 5 years of news. A kind of Rip Van Winkle question.

How do you know if you sold your soulThis question used to intrigue me when I was a child because I was told a story at Sunday school about a boy who sold his soul but when I asked the question how would you know if you have sold your soul ? the teacher just giggled and said "oh you would...

Are you born with your soul looking the way you do when you die?Or, when you die old do you grow young in the afterlife, and die young you grow old? Is there an age limit after death?

If they did have souls, what did they have to do to save them?
