Is celibacy the cause of the priestly sexual misconduct?
Is it found in non-Catholic religions? If priests were allowed to marry, would the scandal stop?
No,its a way to justify their actions as opposed to anyone else that commits this sexual act.
Its a crime/sin and its unjustifiable.
There are ways for these so called priests to comfort themselves.
That sickens me
Great question though
No. Pedophilia is a disease in which there is no cure. If this were the case there would be girls as well as boys being molested. These monsters are gay pedophiles that have no business in the church or near children whatsoever.
The cause is ego.
Ego is the enemy that all religions are against. Ego is selfishness and separateness.
Breaking the "law" of celibacy is only a symptom for a far deeper problem of attitude -- "my way or the highway." Arrogance. Entitlement. Self-righteousness.
Humility is the key.
