    To those who read the Bible, what is your favorite scripture for giving thanks?

    Do you have a favorite scripture for giving thanks to the Lord, if so, which one is it?  Thank you for sharing.

    One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 100.

    Psalm 136

    1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
    His love endures forever.
    2 Give thanks to the God of gods.
    His love endures forever.
    3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords:
    His love endures forever.
    4 to him who alone does great wonders,
    His love endures forever.
    5 who by his understanding made the heavens,
    His love endures forever.
    6 who spread out the earth upon the waters,
    His love endures forever.
    7 who made the great lights—
    His love endures forever.
    8 the sun to govern the day,
    His love endures forever.
    9 the moon and stars to govern the night;
    His love endures forever.
    10 to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt
    His love endures forever.
    11 and brought Israel out from among them
    His love endures forever.
    12 with a mighty hand and outstretched arm;
    His love endures forever.
    13 to him who divided the Red Sea[a] asunder
    His love endures forever.
    14 and brought Israel through the midst of it,
    His love endures forever.
    15 but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea;
    His love endures forever.
    16 to him who led his people through the wilderness;
    His love endures forever.
    17 to him who struck down great kings,
    His love endures forever.
    18 and killed mighty kings—
    His love endures forever.
    19 Sihon king of the Amorites
    His love endures forever.
    20 and Og king of Bashan—
    His love endures forever.
    21 and gave their land as an inheritance,
    His love endures forever.
    22 an inheritance to his servant Israel.
    His love endures forever.
    23 He remembered us in our low estate
    His love endures forever.
    24 and freed us from our enemies.
    His love endures forever.
    25 He gives food to every creature.
    His love endures forever.
    26 Give thanks to the God of heaven.
    His love endures forever.

      Beautiful Inspired 4 U!  I could not quote my scripture as it said over 82 characters, so I guess when asking the question, one can only have so many characters.  Happy Thanksgiving!  God bless you.

    1 Thessalonians 5:18
    In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

    There are so many passages that lend themselves to giving thanks, but this one doesn't mince words. It is the "Will of God." Give thanks in all things, least we take HIM for granted.

    Blessings

    First let me wish you a most Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving.

    One of my favorites---one of many---is Psalms 92.  The verse that really speaks to why I love Psalms 92 is verse 4 (Lord, you have made me happy by what you have done..... This come from the New Century Version's Everyday Study Bible.

    Makes me happy just to share this scripture.

    Faith Reaper, I love Psalm 100, too. I also love Philippians 4:6-7, my "go to" scripture for giving thanks in the midst of anxiety and need for understanding (. . . do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God, which surpasses all understanding . . .).

    My favorite is Genesis 1:26 -- that God created us in His image and likeness. That shows a vivid kinship that most people don't normally think about. That speaks to the love that God has for us and tells us how Noah's Flood was only an act of love and nothing more.
