    Is God a Person?

Is God a Person? If yes, is he (she) a Man or a Woman?

According to my Catholic religion, God is not a person, but divine; the supreme being.  People were made in the image of God.

God is a fictional character, he contains the personalities and hopes of all the people who have written of his characteristics. This why in many verses god is vengeful or peaceful or jealous or forgiving. However, as a fictional character he only has the power over the people who believe he is real and fear or love him. Its what happens in extreme cases of fanaticism towards any fictional character. They follow what they believe such a character desires.its also the reason that when you ask questions such as these, "is god a person, what is god like, who is god" that all the answers will differ.

The concept of god is ambiguous. While certain religions describe him as a  supernatural being, some say god is a force that is responsible for both the creation of the universe and changes occurring in it.But people like me would insist that god is a great figment of imagination made up by whom we could call a genius to keep the humans under control.

To answer your question, god is an imaginary form existing in the minds of believers and the form of this imagination depends on the way a person perceives it.So,god can be anything from a human to a superficial being depending on the way the concept has been instilled in that particular person.

Scripture answers this question God is not a man or the son of man.
    Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Yes. God is all in all. There is nothing else. Spirit is omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient. An omnipotent Spirit can take any form be it male, female or neutral or none. God is the all-pervading Spirit or Ultimate Reality, a Perennial Entity or Divine Ground from which all things spring, live and have their existence.

Man is God in the finite form, and God is man in the infinite form. They are One. Spirit is All in All. Just one angle. It need not be yours. Happy New Year!!!
