If United Nation were to declare ONE religion as the Global religion which ONE should it be?
Christianity, Islam, Tao, Jews, Budhist, Hindu ,
None of them!
The United Nations has no right to make such a declaration, though the way things are going they're going to eliminate national sovereignty, personal rights, personal property, personal freedom (including religious freedom), and much more (see Agenda 21).
I'm Christian and I have a fondness for Taoism and Buddhism as well as Judaism, but we each need to have the freedom to choose our own path.
Christianity has already been co-opted by forces of evil, so every denomination is corrupt to one degree or another. Each one is clamoring to be "first," which will put them last in the eyes of the Lord.
It has to do with ego which is the only reason for this Rescue Mission. Ego is what perverts religion, governments, corporations and everything else in human society.
The forces of evil have bubbled to the top of Earth society. They are the only ones willing to be so egotistical -- the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Obamas, Bushes and their ilk.
Religion is about personal, spiritual reawakening. This isn't some cafeteria, fast-food thing you can dish out to the masses.
If the UN were to make that announcement while I'm still alive, I would spit on it for the abomination it is.
Truth is truth and the UN is diametrically opposed to it, but so are most believers. Ego is the culprit.
Humility and love are the answer, but we should not compromise on matters of spiritual progress. Nothing in the universe is as important.
I'm surprised, you left out the religion of Atheism. Atheists will be protesting and of course they should sue the UN, not because of separation of church and state but because it really does take more faith to believe in Atheism than to believe in Christianity (and after all aren't religions called faiths?) so Atheism should qualify as the world religion. Not only is Atheism a religion because it requires (enormous) faith to believe in it, it is idol worship. Atheists worship materialism or naturalism. What started as random chance chemical reactions are the basis for their existence and as religious people worship a God or gods they worship materialism as their "creator".
Granted, their religion offers no hope whatsoever for humanity since they believe when the chemical reactions that are YOU cease there is nothing beyond and it is as if you never existed at all.
Granted that to believe in Atheism you must forsake the notion of absolutes as how can the results (values, beliefs, morals) of any sytem of chemical reactions be more or less valid than any other?
Granted that Atheism can therefore have no basis on which to justify any universal punishment or reward, in other words it is void of the concept of justice because matter, which they BELIEVE is all that we are, is incapable of abstract principles, absolutes or morality.
Of course, if you believe Richard Dawkins, all humanity has evolved to be prone to delusion, with the exception, naturally, of him and anyone who thinks like he does - sounds a lot like a cult, doesn't it?
i liked your write up, well i missed many religious sects , creeds & offshoots including atheism , my list was meant to be examples and inclusive not exhaustive .
They already have. A secularist ideology serving the interests of its institutional power, wealth and authority is not only the UN's one unifying agenda, it is its sole faith.
None. They are all hogwash imo. And the UN would not and should not get involved in such a discussion.
No governing body of any type or at any level should be declaring one religion superior to the others or creating a one world religion everyone must follow. Religion, although formed into organizations, is a personal choice and shouldn't be deemed to be a choice to be made by any government, political leader, or organizations such as the United Nations.
I have to agree that no global religion should ever be established. If peace is the goal of the United Nations, then they can't exclude large sections of the population or play favorites.
They already have done mate it's called the religion of Greed, governments have been pushing this religion around the world for years now....Commandment no.1 take what you can.
Everyone talks about one god, one world etc but talk about having one religion no one is willing . isn't that the best thing to have one god one religion for the whole world.
Probably then it becomes a question of my god v/s your god !! just proves there is something wrong with the way we practice our religion!!

I was discussing god with few people...the discussion as usual turned into heated debate...nothing divides humans more than religion/god and soon debate turned into heated argument...one strong believer said it requires enlightenment to understand god ..to which one of my atheist friend replied...

Atheism only means the lack of a belief in God. Why is it so hard for Christians to realize that we dismiss their religion for the same reasons that they dismiss all other religions? It doesn't make us horrible people, immoral, or mean that we are going to hell. It just means that we think the...

Do you think religion not being taught in schools has helped atheism to grow?my kids rarely talk about god or jesus and I find it kind of strange. the only reason they mention god is because their grandma will bring them to church every few months but they don't really know what it's for. I find it...

Do you think the world is becoming less religious? When asked about their religion in the most recent global survey that was conducted in 2012, it turned out that the lack of religion and faith was the third most prominent one in the world, overtaking Buddhism and Hinduism.Do you think religion is...

Is atheism an anchronistic non-belief system? Of all the "isms" that has bedeviled man's existence, it could be said that atheism takes the cake for being inexplicably incongrous with modernity, for in its essence, non-belief (in somehting or anything) belies...

...and so, we come to this point of reference. We can gather from massive ranting atheism is much a splinter faction, due to its roots in Christianity. But the question comes to mind, IS atheism attempting authentic Judaism?Well, what is an authentic "Judaist" and what is an...
