What is the best method to help others?
people want to do charity in various ways but if you really want to make him independent you have to think other wise.
Listen first than hypothesize their real issue. Then ponder & weigh possible solutions. Indeed make them "fishermen" rather then simply supplying them.
The only way to Truly help others is to Love them as if they were your own self. Wish for them everything that they desire, even if that desire is to harm your physical self.
With this, you rise above the perpetrator-victim dichotomy. You become invulnerable without self-concern and can help without limitation.
This is the destination of the desire for salvation. That destination is altruistic Love (God).
