What Christian Denomination Follows Christ The Best?

  2. Dannytaylor02 profile image69

Jehovah's witnesses by a long shot.

Other denominations have pagan origins, although having some truly remarkable individuals within them.

Being a Jehovah's witness means embarking on a spiritual restoration but also it requires all of its baptised brothers and sisters to tell people about Jesus and his teachings just as Jesus intended.

      Most important:  In what name?

    4. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

In jesus's name since we are Christian.

We are followers of the Christ but what i think you are trying to get at is do we accept him as God almighty? To which we reply as no.

Fundamentally all Christians, Muslims and Jewish believe in the same god

Dan: If Christ is not God, who was he? Were  there 2 diff gods?

Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

Norine, Christ tells us exactly who he is, the son of god. There really is no mystery. Who is god? Psalms 83:18

Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: This is how I believe: I Tim 3:16 God was "manifested in the flesh" and only Jesus Christ was "manifested in the flesh;" therefore, Jesus is God!  Do u agree? My Ps 83:18 says "...whose name alone is the LORD..." How about yours?

Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

      Norine,

Your bible has taken gods name out of every single verse by the looks of it, Jehovah is his name. 1 Timothy 3:15 says it best, Jesus is the mediator between man and God.

    9. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: My I Tim 3:15 tells how to behave in the house of God & what the Church is, yours? Do you not think the Mediator is the SAME Spirit yet in another Role rather Glory?

Initially, God said His Name as "I AM," then "Jehovah," now Phil 2:9-11.

    10. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

Exodus 6:2 no he didn't his name since the beginning is Jehovah. You are completely misquoting the scripture I show you. It's there to tell You what his role is

    11. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: Doesn't Jehovah mean "BECOMES ALL?" Can't u see?  He chgs fm name to name or Glory to Glory! Ex 6:2 didn't lie! He BECOMES anything, anytime, anyplace, simultaneously if He desires; that's why His name is Jehovah forever! Eph 4:4-6

    12. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

      Norine,

Why does the bible tell us that gods name is Jehovah nearly 7000 times then?

    13. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: Because He "BECOMES ALL" (as in His other adjective (name) "I AM" which means ALL) whenever He desires, 7,000+! My name is woman, (according to Genesis) lady, girl, but not my name! Why do you worship adjective (adj) & not name?

    14. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

      Norine:

The name Jehovah is the most widely used name for a deity anywhere. That is his name. Don't try to complicate something that is really very simple

    15. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: 2 Pet 3:16 says .."in which are some things hard to be understood.." so studying the Scripture is not "simple" even when reading "literally!"  That's why ppl "see" father & son rather than Father & Son!

      Norine,

Funny how you don't quote the rest of that scripture as it is something you are in danger of being guilty of

    5. Dannytaylor02 profile image69

Because I ask if you think the trinity is monotheistic and you said no so I sa excellent.

Also I'm quoting what the bible says about Jesu I'm not saying anything on my own

      Norine,

Because he is the son of God and not God himself.

Jehovah has revealed himself to us through Jesus because he does his fathers will not his own

Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: From your belief "Because he is the son of God and not God himself," there appears to be a "Father" & a "Son" which infers two diff Gods? Are u looking in a "literal" sense, father & son?    .

    9. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

Can you tell me how 'father and son' infers two different gods?

There is one 'almighty' God. The Angels are referred to as gods but not 'almighty'.

John 14:28 Jesus tells us that his father, Jehovah is greater than he is.

      Jesus is the firstborn

    10. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: Do u know why He said that?  Are you "looking" at His Words in a "literal" sense Father & Son? Do u not know this is a Spiritual journey? Why "look literally?" Rm 8:6-18! Omnipresent! Eph 4:4-6 "ONE LORD!" Who is Jesus? I Tim 3:16! MANIFESTE

    11. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

      Norine,

Even if you don't take it literally the point still remains. in a symbolic sense a father is wiser that his son, older, stronger and deserves more respect because he has lived longer...symbolically father and son means the same thing

    12. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: Not true " because he has lived longer..."  Jesus was there from the beginning although His Glory (Role) as Jesus had not yet been MANIFESTED! Jn 17:5 ONE SPIRIT!

    13. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

      That's so weak norine

    14. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: I pray you called me "weak" and not Scripture~! For I was telling you what IT said!  Did you read Jn 17:5?

    15. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

Norine, your argument is weak. Even in the next two verses of the scripture you just quoted it shows how Jesus differentiate himself from God john 17:7 Jesus only has what God giv him. No one is denying jesus's importance, but God he is not.

    16. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: Do you realize we're talking "ALL" Spirit? God/Spirit-Jesus/Spirit-Holy Spirit/Spirit! If "ALL" Spirit, how can SPIRIT be "separate?" God's Spirit is Omnipresent! He's in you &  me & ALL others who believe but He's ONE SPIRIT with MANY G

    17. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

Omnipresent doesn't mean being inside you or a part of you it means he is everywhere.

    18. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Which INCLUDES "inside of you" which is the Holy Spirit IF you've been born again!  The point is "Isaiah 43:10-11!" Jesus Christ is "Immanuel" which means "GOD with us!" SAME SPIRIT - ONE SPIRIT!

    19. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

      Norine,

The nation of israel was called immanuel too, is it jesus?

Anyway, you won't even accept that the cross is pagan and has its roots from babylon and india so i won't bother going into deeper discussions. Hallelujah, praise Jehovah.

    20. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Whether on "a cross," a tree, in a car accident, point is HE DIED for us according to Scripture! Yes, If Israel was "God w/us" it's JESUS! That is THE ONE SPIRIT who is GOD & His Name is JESUS? Eph 4:4-6

    21. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

The point is norine that i have spoken to a lot of born agains and they are totally unreasonable and illogical and unwilling to accept their mistakes.

They are like a really annoying little brother

      But I love you smile

    22. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Dan: It is a "believer's" job to STUDY to see if the "annoying little brother" is telling TRUTH according to Scripture not to "ignore" because it's not what you've been taught!  STUDY!  "Prove" my mistakes if u love me! 2 Tim 3:16

But norine the scriptures you are quoting don't back up your case so you are disproving yourself. Check jw.org it's full of bible truths

Dan: Eph 4:4-6 said "ONE LORD, ONE SPIRIT" & Thomas said in Jn 20:28 "My Lord and my GOD" which proves "GOD was MANIFESTED in the flesh & REC'D UP INTO GLORY?" according to I Tim 3:16! Applicable? Just because you've been taught doesn't mean

Norine, jesus is a god, not god almighty jehovah is.

I can't put it better than john 17:3

"This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ."

Can you see the distinction here?

    26. profile image51
Norine Williamsposted 9 years agoin reply to this

Why did you say "Jesus is a god (w/a little "g")?" How many are there? Rem: Is 43:10-11? No can't see a distinction "..the ONLY true GOD, and Jesus Christ.." For He is God & Jesus Christ as you are man & Dan!

    27. Dannytaylor02 profile image69
Dannytaylor02posted 9 years agoin reply to this

      Ok norine,

Let's just agree to disagree because we are getting nowhere. Just be careful not to alienate Jehovah, his name is there for a reason. Don't let the decisions that a pagan roman emperor constantine made affect your relationship with him,

Dan: U just rembr Jesus came as prophesied, died & left us the Holy Spirit (where we now live under New Covenant). Since He did, He expects us to worship Him (Jesus) as we were told "after He ascended" & "at the NAME of JESUS every knee will
