I'm figuring as we speak. big_smile

Actually, I was made to study the bible as a child/young man along with all the other major religious texts.

And my major problem with organized religions is that they do not follow the teachings. Quite apart from the fact that there are an awful lot of contradictions in the bible, it seems to me that this is not just a matter of mis-interpretation, but a willful attempt to twist the teachings to suit their own purposes.

But I would be interested to hear from anyone who has strong feelings about the TRUTH of the bible - why would it upset or bother you that others do not believe?

I was thinking about Eisteins thoery of relativity, or eqaul opposites, and the Bible, and the condradctions made on just about everything in it.  My conclusion,  it's just like everything else in the world.  Good vs. Evil, Satan vs. God, Lies vs. truth.

I study the bible in that way, up-down, left-right, fast-slow.

Evidentally, the way I see it,  it's very true in regards to those things, points are made all over the bible about the way life works.  So, i figure a lot of people or probably no one but myself has thought about what the bible is but isn't saying.  Like Hell, Hell is an illusion, and God is real.

But without even knowing it,  acknoledging Hell or Satan as a reality, means that you chose God as the illusion.

BRAVO!  Excellent observation of opposition... a theme in scripture and life that I have learned to LOVE!

Oh how I wish I had the time to read all of the post on this thread...

I agree with one earlier post, paraphrased here - "religion and spirituality are two different things"

I could not agree more! (scarry:-) heheheh

Now, I firmly believe that all truth will ultimately be circumscribed into KNOWLEDGE!

When we finally KNOW - then we understand and accept that which is TRUTH.

Here is to all sincere and true seekers of knowledge from every perspective of life...

(makes me want to write a HUB this subject from a Mormon perspective... as it is impossible to dismiss science and religion, as NOT being an attempt to become ONE)

Oh, how I love learning from all of you here on HP:-)

Everything in this universe in connected.
Religions and science are both very similar.Science wants tangible proof.
All masters will tell you have faith and believe i God but you must experience god directly -proof fro yourself.
