Does God really care?

    Does God really care?

In life we all often face very many challenges. Some leave us distressed, others leave us bitter, and some leave our spirits crushed. In all these, we always want to run to some higher power, one that will console us, provide with the solution or take us through the whole ordeal with some form of cushioning. Those who trust in God often run for him for this. However. in certain cases one may feel like God does not really care, or he is too busy for us. When going through such, do you often feel like God does not really care? How do you handle such?

Yes, many have a "Crisis Christ," who only seek Him during difficult times, but there is consolation in the Word of God!

In order for one to sustain "natural" life, "food" and "drink" is necessary!  Likewise, in order to sustain "spiritual" life, "Food" and "Drink" is also necessary!

GOD SAID in Isaiah 26:3-4 "Thou wilt keep him in "perfect peace," whose mind is STAYED on thee; because he trusteth in thee. (4) Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength!"

We awake, feed the "natural," but do we "Feed" our spirits?  Instead of running first to the computer, why not open the Bible and "Feed" our spirits (daily) as well?

GOD created us with His own Hands!  He loves us!  He has a "plan" for each of us!  Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."  It may not seem He's there, but "He's working" all toward that "expected end!"

Don't forget!  He DIED for us!!! John 15:13-14 says "Greater LOVE hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  (v14) Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you."

    Blessings!

It's as if God doesn't exist at all. When I was younger, I prayed all the time. I prayed because I truly needed divine intervention. I was told that God would answer ALL prayers. Still nothing changed. For years nothing changed. Then I began to shout at God, pleading with him to honor his claim. Then I became enraged at God, then I learned to just forget about God. Years later, as an adult, it all started to make sense. I was putting false hope in a God that was NEVER there. Worthless!

I was a devout Christian most of my life.  Growing up in a ghetto, I dealt with this dissonance by squelching this thought.  As an adult, this led to my inadvertently joining a cult, putting my life in danger.  I questioned God for years, with no answer.  After realizing billions of people far worse off than me have also questioned God, with the same result, I have come to the conclusion He either doesn't exist, or is nothing like Christianity portrays Him.
This leaves me with the enormous task of sorting everything out myself.  Ultimately, we all have to do that, whether we admit it or not.  Faith in God works for some, but they need to respect the fact that it doesn't work for everyone.

The question is absurd, and completely irrelevant, and confirms absolutely NOTHING! This irrelevant question has become your desperate plea...a feeble attempt at abdicating reason in favor of ancient folklore. Its like saying 2+2=47.  U should stop!

"IF" you're intelligent enough, read the Book of Daniel to see today's foreign policies being fulfilled as prophesied by the Prophet Daniel then tell me! END TIMES not my gift!
Then you'll "see," 2+2 does = 47 if GOD SAYS SO!

In order for God to care, he would first have to exist.

Prove God does not exist! Otherwise all you have is a theory that God does not exist. Some proofs are in the negative. Can you do it?

@Eric, I can prove that God does not exist.  That is not the problem.  The problem is that religious people will deny the proof.

No you cannot prove that God does not exist. The whole essence of a God is that without proof or proof against. How could you possibly disprove something that by it's nature is beyond comprehension. No one has ever proven God does not exist.

@Eric, I can absolutely, without question prove that God does not exist.
1 John 4:16 says that God is love. God lives in those who love him. Does God live in these people? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er1kTF3smOE

Absolutely. You are joining the plane of analytics with the plane of spirituality. They do not mix. God is love. Love is God. Omnipotent and omnipresent. The closest we can perceive is love but even that is limited by perception. God is greater.

I love that you used the words omnipotent and omnipresent. You would agree that God has the capacity to love more than humans can love, right? If your child was starving, would you feed him/her?

You are not walking down a road of legal or scientific proof. You are going down a road of what you consider logic and logic is not proof. What God would do and why is not factual. You do not know God.

      Money Man
And since it has been said that God is omnipotent, then there is absolutely no excuse for his incompetence...negligence...callousness...
A God like that cannot exist externally/objective.That God can only be imagined, ergo no real power.

@Eric, When Christians are asked questions about God, they reference the Bible. So, I have used the Bible to prove that God does not exist.  Now you are saying that the Bible is not accurate. There is no God. Life and the Bible prove this.

Don't ask rhetorical questions state your proof. If the bible is your proof then you must accept it as true.

moneyminditposted 2 years agoin reply to this

@Eric, I am illustrating a point.  The point is that according to the Bible, the existence of God is not possible.  All Christians see the Bible as truth.  I am showing you that based on your Bible, God cannot exist.

Ericdierkerposted 2 years agoin reply to this

But you do not accept the Bible as proof or truth. Then I do. So it is not a fact that it is proof or truth it is debatable. Some thing that is debatable is not fact enough for a proof. (I deny a proof is reasonable when it comes to faith)

The story of Santa Claus proves he isn't real. We all know reindeer can't fly. The story of God proves he isn't real. We all know that a loving God would not allow .00001% of the human suffering that exists today.

Funny you say that. I have a high IQ and four degrees and I disagree with you. Your proof stinks. It would not even pass mustard in the FRE. You are using your logic as proof. And it simply is argument and not proof.

My logic? I have a degree in philosophy. There is not logic to heinous acts of sick individuals. Why in the world would an all knowing God permit it to happen? If I were God I could answer that. F*** why? I do not get it. How can it be?

GUYS: People can "CHOOSE" to do ANYTHING that want (Josh 24:15) that's MY ALL LOVING GOD!  However, HE left u "instructions" (Bible)!

Great we are agreed. God is not a logical construct. God is omnipotent and omnipresent and has no need to be logical. You go be logical, I support you. But leave faith alone because you do not get it.

Eric, I have faith in myself. Faith in an "omnipotent," inactive God is merely a source of comfort for those who are too afraid of the reality that we exist in a vast and cold universe.

MM: Prov 3:5 "Lean NOT to your OWN understanding..."  U trust "the creation more than THE CREATOR" (Rm 1:22;25)?
Pls furnish a book written BEFORE Bible w/as many "accurate" fulfilled prophecies as Bible.
Who could've known this but GOD?
