Are there any who can provide a thoughtful "opinion" in ref. to the "reason and purpose" this "OMNISCIENT" biblical god thing would plan and perpetrated the murder of so many of "it's" Haitian children?
If the God of the Bible exists, sounds logical. He has been doing this kind of evil things for ages!
But for me ,the only cause of this disaster is Nature. Nature doesn't contemplate who's killed in the process.
The age old argument of God works in mysterious ways.
my idea of god aint in the destruction biz. my god is cool like that.
ohh make no mistake on this there is no our god . only mine . the bible and all books about god are fiction just like my god ideas are . differnce is my idea is current not outdated lol
qwark if i may ask. whats your intent ? with these god threads? is it for fun ?or what?
if you can explain the purpose of these forums you will have my answer...can you? :-)
Are my questions:
Too thought provoking?
Too "profound" to be approached?
Too sensitive to be thoughtfully discussed?
Too complex to consider?
Or is it that "too" many give lip service to a subject they know nothing about?
Help me. I ask these questions in an effort to gain information which might explain, for me, why so many seem to be so easily fooled.
.sensationalism. antagonistic.pot stirring . a subversive undermining with the intent to create tension. pouring fule onto a fire . to watch it burn .certainly not to bring contrary thinking together. thats what i think your doing. nothing profound about it. profanity more like it. hows that?
Are you some kind of teacher ?
You sound so 'scholar'!
We are not pupils.
Your threads sound like examinations, and your answers as well.
Are you examining us ?
I don't find your questions provoking nor profound.
I find them interesting in a funny way,
I feel like in school
I try to ask questions that interest me in the hope that one day I may find an answer to a few of them that makes sense to me.
I have been a searcher all my life.
Isn't "curiosity" the essence of human life?
Isn't it said that "knowledge is power?"
I was taught THAT as a child.
My grandmother (I was a foster child) who was strong woman who endured the pain and suffering of the late 20's and 30's during the "Great Depression," told me that education results in understanding. Never stop learning.
I ask questions that confuse many simply because they have no knowledge or desire to gain knowledge about what I ask.
Life, to me, is to be lived and enjoyed!
I spent many years as a religious seminarian prepping for the pulpit.
Eventually, as I studied and digested information in many fields of science and philosophy, I became aware of the true value of all life on this planet.
Truth's became evident.
My grandmothers words have never left me nor have they failed me.
I am still a "seeker" and a believer that no question is silly or unworthy of an honest answer.
So if my questions, in anyway, effect you in such a manner that you laugh or cry or wonder about my sanity then I am pleased because they effected you and you responded!
I've lived long and experienced many wonderful things.
I judge people by the way they treat and respond to others.
If I remind you of a "teacher" in my manner of approach to others. so be it...but my intent is to inspire others to think and respond thoughtfully.
I find that most don't or can't. Those I ignore. To those who offer thoughtfull opinion, I will challenge in the hope that the possibility exists I might learn something new, which I can add to my acumen of information, thereby, hopefully, making me a more able and adaptable human being.
I could add much more, but I hope this suffices. Does it?
Thanks for your interesting reply...:-)
Now you sound like a vampire !
There's not much to understand when reading your comments...except that they are, in the main, snide and valueless.
I know you'll dump on me for this comment...lol.. but that's ok..if it keeps you busy and entertained.
I'll try to keep ya laughing and responding by asking more "silly" meaningless questions in didactic form....lol :-)
That's all your questions deserve.
Other hubbers deserve differently.
And don't worry. I won't comment again. You don't make me laugh, just smile. I have ways to entertain myself. Commenting here was only a pastime.
Didactic forms reminds me of school.
I found your threads very 'didactic'
We have an enemy, He hates us! He will stop at nothing to destroy us. He manipulates
the weather, he even invites peoples to live in areas that are known to be hazardous.
He talks to us, do we listen?
There will be stories of survivors, miraculous stories of Gods hand.
God does not want anything bad to happen to us.
What if from the beginning God told these peoples great great great great grandfather to leave the island.
But the great great great great grandfather chose not to. He did not believe it was necessary. But God had already forewarned them.
I only know that God did not do this.
God is good and He only gives us good things.
If we were warned and chose to ignore the warning, then how is this Gods fault? We can do what ever we want to, and yes if we want to go to H---. He will let us!
I will tell you that God will bring into His heaven all who wanted to go there.
They are in a magnificent place with no more pain nor suffering.
You didn't understand a bit of what I tried to express.
You did your best..:-)
Tantrum, you are incorrigible. You ceaseless efforts to curry favour with everyone here on HubPages is getting to be predictable. And when are you gonna put on some clothes?
I like that one!
I'm very tender, if you pull the right strings....which are very difficult to locate
Iknow, I konw !
Take it easy.
Old age is a nuisance!
Pull your strings and be happy !

After all the claims made by biblical religionists that the biblical god is all of the above, none of this god's actions seems to fit these lofty roles. For example, the biblical god has to be worshiped, which hardly seems to be an omni-anything trait and not worthy of any leader of men. I decided...

Is sacrificial death a thing the biblical God chose to require or is it innate to His Character? This question has to do with the sacrificial death for fogiveness of sins. Hebrew writings require animal sacrifices while Christian Scriptures require human sacrifice. I have pondered this...

If you believe in God and that he is the creator then he alone is responsible for the millions of babies that have died before, during and shortly after birth. Also those babies that are born with defects and they are forced to live whatever life that they have with big problems. A problem...

With the ever increasing overwhelming amount of Scientific knowledge that we humans now possess, I personally think it's only a matter of time before Religion is almost completley gone, forgotten if you will. What do I mean by completely gone? I'm talking about most of the worlds population not...
