Having never met a person before, how would you determine if they are a practicing Christian?
You would have to ask them. If you are a practicing Christian yourself, then you are of course more likely to meet other practicing Christians who move in the same social circles. You can't tell from the way people act, dress and talk as there are of course many good people from all backgrounds who don't adhere to christian beliefs and values but who are still modest in their dress and polite and courteous to others, so there is no way of telling. Just ask them.
"Practicing Christians" are not always the people who might say they are Christians. Asking is a good start. It might take a little more to determine whether or not they actually practice the faith they can claim.
."Asking is a good start??" Never would I boldly ASK " R U a Christian?" None of my business. ZERO! even less my business if they're "practicing Christians!" If people choose 2 offer info, fine. But even then, not my business to pry or spy! Never.
you can know the first thing they will say is what is your religion, whether you heard about jesus christ, then you know what they are up to
Yes, that's a thought! They'll usually give themselves away by proselytysing as they'll want to indoctrinate you with their beliefs!
I would see if they practiced the golden mean value espoused by every western and eastern religion. " Do unto others as they would do unto you". You dont need a church or a religious group to show you are a christian, in my personal opinion.
Debbie Hunt writes: "When we keep our promises to our Lord - we are changed. We look at things differently. We act differently. We react to situations differently. We choose to become bound as sons & daughters to our Heavenly Father.
All due respect, Perspy. I venture 2 say, 90% of UR readers have no clue WHO "Debbie Hunt" is & nothing about her. This is merely a stated opinion by a stranger, unlikely 2 interest nor impress anyone.Random people say LOTS of things. & so??
I've written an article about this on Hub pages. It's called 'Do all religions have a common principle?'

If that is the case, what about the African tribe who has never heard of of Jesus? Even if they are good people,...

The mass of the people are forced to believe into certain religions by ways of culture, traditions, family & now the media. I challenge you to ask yourself, are you truly practing your religion because of your true faith? Or is it because it's all you've ever known?

From what I've read in the bible, we are to identify wrong behaviours and speak up but we are not to play judge because that makes us prideful and reluctant to take the beam out of our own eye. Many Christians insist that it is their duty to judge and they end up judging everyone about everything....
