Listen, we know that we argue, fight and disagree about God, about Jesus and about everything spiritual. We Christians don't agree on every point, and our opposers don't agree on every point either...we all have our pet understandings.
(Stay with me)....the fact of the matter is that each of us has a need or a hope for something that we cannot make happen by ourselves....sickness, a situation with our kids or other loved ones, you may need a job or are faced with some other seemingly insurmountable circumstance...whatever the case may be.
So, in this thread, whether you are a Christian or not, whether you believe there is a God or not, whether you believe in prayer or not, please post your need.
As an act of brotherly kindness, the Christians will pray, other folk will send good thoughts and still others will do what they do....
The one thing we all agree on is the power of simply loving others.
need?
how about if God puts invisible force fields around innocent babies so this stuff doesn't happen?
Out of the darkness: Baby P's killers named at last
The three people responsible for the brutal death of Baby Peter can be identified for the first time after a court ruling banning their identification came to an end at midnight.
Tracey Connelly, 28, and her sadistic boyfriend Steven Barker, 33, were jailed for causing or allowing the death of 17-month-old Peter Connelly in his blood-spattered room in Haringey, North London.
He had suffered dozens of injuries after months of abuse at the time of his death, including a broken back and fractured ribs, and had been on Haringey’s child protection register, but professionals had failed to spot the danger despite 60 different visits.
The media have been prevented from naming the couple since last year, when they were convicted of causing or allowing the death of Peter. Both were subsequently tried in connection with the rape of a two-year old girl, although only Barker was convicted. Despite the ban on the mainstream press identifying them, their identities soon became known to users of internet sites not bound by the order or ignoring it.
The lifting of the ban on identification, a week after the second anniversary of the death of Peter, also means that Jason Owen, the third defendant, who was a lodger in the house, can be identified as the brother of Barker — he changed his name after Peter's death. Owen was also convicted over Peter’s death, but there was no ban on naming him.
The NSPCC has criticised the decision to make the couple’s identities public, asking whether it was in the interests of Peter’s siblings. “We have serious misgivings about this,” said Wes Cuell, director of services at the children’s charity. “There is clearly a difficult balance in legitimate public interest and prurience. The concern we have is what impact this [the naming] will have on the lives of children who have already been through the killing of a brother, and question in what way it is in their best interests.” The siblings had already suffered enough “and respecting their privacy gives them the best chance of recovery”, Mr Cuell said.
Barker had been investigated by police before for a violent assault. Connelly had nothing in her past that would hint at the horrors to come.
They were both from dysfunctional families and the coming together of the pair was, according to one senior police officer, “the perfect storm” that led to the death of Peter.
Connelly, who was unemployed, loved having in her view a handsome boyfriend and while she spent hours on the internet every day, looking at pornography and chatting to friends on networking sites, he tortured her son for his own amusement.
The Times has been told that having a steady boyfriend was everything to Connelly and the abuse of her child was “a price she was willing to pay”.
She was terrified that if she complained about the abuse he would leave her. On one social networking site she said: “My fella is nuts but being in love is great.”
In reality her boyfriend was a 15 stone sadist who not only enjoyed torturing animals but people as well.
The Barker brothers were both charged with assaulting their grandmother, Hilda Barker, 82, at her home in Whitstable, Kent, in 1995.
The pensioner told police that they locked her in a wardrobe to make her change her will in their favour but the case was dropped after she died from pneumonia.
Jacqueline Cole, 58, a neighbour of Mrs Barker, said: “She was black and blue. I heard they tried to scare her to death with Guy Fawkes masks.”
When he was not abusing the toddler, Barker, who had a pet snake, would use a large knife to skin live frogs and break their back legs to see if they could still jump.
Dead mice, chicks and dismembered rabbits were left lying around the house, along with his pornography.
A knife-obsessed sadist, he wore combat gear, collected Nazi military memorabilia including daggers decorated with swastikas and was always seen with his rottweiler.
He had been prosecuted by the RSPCA for torturing animals.
While Connelly gladly told her friends how much she loved Barker, she kept him a secret from social services as she was worried about losing her benefits.
When the 17-month-old child died he had suffered 50 injuries including eight fractured ribs, a broken back and had the tip of a finger missing.
Connelly is alleged to have attacked two of her other children, hitting one with a hairbrush and slapping the other around the face. The slap was seen by a school nurse who reported it to social services, leading to the child being put on the at-risk register.
As Peter grew too old for milk and baby food he was seen to scavenge broken biscuits from his siblings and was even seen eating dirt in the garden.
Connelly was said by some to be more attentive to her dogs.
That the injuries suffered by Peter were never spotted by officials was down to her knowledge of how to manipulate the system and those working within it.
She grew up the daughter of a woman with drink and drug problems while her father had been convicted of sexually assaulting a girl in the 1970s.
At 15 Connelly was given the choice of being placed in care or going to a special school. She chose the latter, obtaining several GCSEs.
When she left she found part-time work as a barmaid and a hairdresser but within a year, aged 16, was in a relationship with a much older man.
They married in 2003 but the marriage collapsed three years later after Peter’s birth when she had two affairs, the second with Barker.
During the two trials she wrote to Barker and made sure the jury saw her tears at key moments. Just before she was to be sentenced she sent a letter to the judge.
She dabbed at her eyes as a catalogue of apologies, regrets and self-recriminations were read aloud. She wrote: “Every day of my life is full of guilt and trying to come to terms with my failure as a mother. I punish myself on a daily basis and there is not a day that goes by where I don’t cry at some point.”
It was her first sign of remorse, hours before she was to be sentenced.
Other letters from jail since then are said to have bragged how she was planning holidays in Egypt, Greece and Italy once she was free, and said her life would be “one long party”.
She wanted to portray herself as someone who “fell in love with the wrong man”.
Paul Mendelle, QC, her defence counsel, claimed she was a “doting” parent who had been careless and lazy but never cruel or violent towards her son. “She accepts that she could and should have protected Peter better than she did. She accepts that she failed in her duty as a mother,” he said, adding that she had been unfairly vilified.
Police believe that Barker did not set out to target the Connelly family. The senior police officer said: “He subconsciously gravitated to the Connelly family and then took advantage of the situation he found himself in to abuse Peter.”
Barker tried to manipulate the court into believing that he was so simple he could not even read or write. But in reality he was a determined and calculating bully who recognised that the circumstances in which he found himself would allow him to satisfy his violent character.
Barker claims that when he was growing up he was the victim of abuse, a charge his alleged abuser denies. Whatever the case, he was sent to a school for children with special educational needs in Tottenham.
One teacher said that he was the brightest pupil in the class — enough to put paid to the lie that he was a simpleton.
His claims of not being able to read or write were also dispelled by police who saw text messages that he sent.
In prison, guards keep a careful eye on the former couple in case other inmates try to exact retribution.
Connelly has recently been moved from Holloway prison to Low Newton jail near Durham, where she is held on a small unit within the lifer unit but mixes with other inmates.
She has therapy sessions to help her to deal with any psychological problems, a specialised programme that is available to very few prisoners.
Barker is in the high-security Wakefield prison along with hundreds of other sex offenders.
Two years ago the brothers’ father, David Price, 63, changed his name from Barker to distance himself from his sons. He told The Sun: “What they did was awful. They deserve to be punished. I don’t care what happens to them.”
all this is happening in the world because God lets us choose what we want to do,
man putting chemicals in can food in water in the feed of animals, man has free will and he is destroying about ever thing,
we need to turn to God, if America would do that things would get better.
we would still have problems, but he will help in time of need.
I know because I lost a daughter when she was only 4 months old, and my Lord was there with me.
My sincere condolences on your loss. Losing a child is a difficult thing and I am truly glad your religious beliefs gave you comfort in your time of need.
However, not everyone needs or wants to turn to God.
My beliefs carried me through my profound loss and explain quite effectively, to me, why things are the way they in this crazy world of ours.
We all see the world in a different way and we all have things in our life that comfort us during the dark times. You have God, I have the Dharma, other people here have their own comforting belief systems.
We should embrace all compassionate philosophies and people equally. IMHO.
LeslieAdrienne,
I'm game, so long as: no titles, no scripts or whiny requests are included.
Yes. I have loved ones who are lost and undone without God.
And although I know we cannot ourselves save their souls, we can petition God to intervene in their lives to draw them to Him.
I would welcome agreement in prayer for that.
Brenda,
I stand in agreement for the perfect laborer to come across your loved ones paths. That they would speak with such intelligence and wisdom that your loved ones will not be able to resist the Word of truth. I agree that because you are saved, even your whole household shall be saved.
I further take authority over the works of the enemy in his attempt to keep them blinded from the glorious gospel which is able to save their souls. I speak life into their lives. In Jesus' Name, Amen
Can you pray that well-meaning, naive Christians stop praying for me? Do I have a right to not be subjected to prayers?
Thanks
Ron,
Can't do that....just pretend that you don't know that we are praying.
I can't opt out? I absolve you of any responsibility for my soul which I do not even acknowledge the existence of. You are free and clear to direct your prayers toward those who feel blessed by them. I consider them to be personal attacks and will report to HP staff, any that are openly thrown in these forums.
Ron, Ron, Ron,
Slow your roll, sugar. Bring it down a notch, please. There is no offense intended toward you or anyone else.....
Why are you angry??? Not one prayer has been written or directed toward anyone who didn't want it. You can't stop people from thinking about you or praying for when they are away from Hubpages.....
I don't know where you live, but I live in the USA...you know, freedom of speech and all of that....
You can report it, but you will find that no guidelines have been violated. And, you still have the free will to not read a thread. I hope this helps you feel better.....
But, if it doesn't, please feel to call me a bunch of low-down names, just don't write them in the thread
Misha,
I am sure that you can, if you make some.
I need a new car. Could you pray that God sends me a new Subaru Forester (I will make do with a year old one as long as it has leather and satnav).
Black Metallic paint please.
My diet is going great without divine intervention, my wife is very pretty, and I am feeling good, so I am good to go there without God doing nuffink. Although - while you are up there anyway - I would also like it if He would stop the incessant whining from his fan club.
Thanks.
Your car is waiting Mr. Knowles, It was left here by mistake, if you don't pick it up in two hours, I'm gonna keep it.
Where are you? I will have one of my friends pick it up ASAP. Or are you fibbing?
Fibbing...and I'm glad! glad!, but you can say liar to me and I won't consider it a personal attack.
Doesn't look like a brand new Subaru Forester to me. Maybe I just need faith?
Is that a station wagon?
Haven't seen one of those in 25 years.
That should be in a museum or something.
God calls it a Subaru Forrester...
Who are we to question his wisdom?
Yup. And add to that museum the guy who called it a Subaru Forrester. --havin` a laugh.
Doesn't look like a Subaru Forester to me. With or without extra "R".
Are you questioning God's misspelled word?
Mark,
You write so many hubs that you can probably pay cash for the car you want....why bother the God you say doesn't exist...
Oh - I thought you asked for prayers from all. Sorry - my mistake - I must have misunderstood
"So, in this thread, whether you are a Christian or not, whether you believe there is a God or not, whether you believe in prayer or not, please post your need."
I need a new car.
Where is it?
Mark....
You know I love you, and you know I know your strategies...I know how to not be drawn out into warfare with you. How is the family doing???
I need money. Lots of money.
And I need God to feed the sick, starving, dying children.
Does this come with a guarantee? Is it guaranteed to work? Or is this gonna be a waste of time?
I need that money, NOW!
I'm making a donation to the red cross...really, see how easy. But you atheists will never believe so -oh well
That is because you are a self professed fibber.
Ok I stepped into that alright...but everybody fibs right? And if they say they don't they're fibing...I was just kidding. We do have a bake sale for the Red Cross annually, but I'm not a christian so...
BB
I tend not to fib a lot. Only where I think it will spare some one a little pain. But - on the whole - I am brutally honest. One of the things I really hate is liars. And I am not talking about your fib about the car.
Grey leather?
Well I appreciate that Mr. Knowles because I was really being sarcastic anyways...maybe I need to work on it. You can hate me if you want, I don't mind.
(((hugs)))
Funny I don't mind our quips yet that guy with the wig, freaks me out. I think it's because you're more open with your disdain. You didn't make my atheist groupie list.
Is it a superstition? Either way, three times permanent is still permanent
Are you serious...what would we do without his delightful satire? Besides it would come back on me
times three. Mr. Misha not on my atheist groupie list either.
"Christian or Not-Submit your Prayer Need"
PLEASE stop submitting this crap!
Paradigmsearch
Nope, won't do that for ya...In case you didn't know, the God that you don't believe in gave you a free will......
You choose to open these posts, so, you get what you get....
I don't know Mark....maybe it got stuck in the atmosphere on its way here.
Check with earnesthub....he might have it ,
What???!!! This prayer does not get answered???!!!
God does work in mysterious ways.
"Lord, these aren't the loved ones I was asking about, but I thank You for them too, and ask You to allow Your Spirit to continue to draw them to Your word, and ultimately to the knowledge of Your truth that will set them free. Thy will be done. In the name of Jesus. Amen!".
If God has a lick of sense, he won't draw me so near that my knee can reach his groin. If he's done everything his biographers claim he has, he's got a serious racking coming.
You kick Him in the bollox, I will put the boot in when He is on the ground. Like wot it sez in the bible.
I'm in.
I have been hoping he would try to cross the road when I'm driving the old ute.
Earnesthub,
Do you have Mark's car....he can't find it....
Apparently the religionists prayed it out of existence.
I told him to go buy one, but he never listens to me....Oh well. I tried....
Of course I can buy one. What use is that? I want the magic, god dunnit for me car. Like wot u didn't promise.
I know your type of prayer doesn't work and there are no promises. What I find funny is the idea that you praying for some one else will do anyone but you any good. LOL The other entertaining thing is you asking people who do not believe the stuff you do to join in your prayers and do not seem to grasp how insulting that is because it completely says you do not value, respect or accept their viewpoint. Not going to try and explain that to you as I am at the point of giving up trying to explain why your religion causes so many fights.
You do not seem to understand the benefits derived from prayer - or even why there are benefits and the fact that there are many, many different ways of achieving these benefits without becoming a righteous hypocrite - which actually defeats every thing you might gain.
You also seem to imagine that there is some imaginary super being listening - and some times he will grant an answer to these prayers and sometimes he will not - depending on whatever your version of The Nonsense tells you.
I can manifest anything I want, but I have learned that the costs are sometimes surprising and difficult to anticipate - and it is best to give serious consideration to actually asking directly for a need to be fulfilled and instead look inwards to determine what I might need to do/learn/unlearn/relearn to achieve what I consider to be my needs at that time as far as my personal development goes.
Once you understand that there is not an actual invisible super being called god, and how these manifestations actually come to pass - you will understand the whole thing much more clearly than you apparently do. The first thing you need to do is drop this rubbish attached to Christianity that some one else dunnit for you, because your version of god and jesus have absolutely nothing to do with spirituality. Nothing.
Good luck.
Mark my friend,
If you can buy a car, then you don't need prayer for a car....don't you get it??? I told them you [b] never listen to me[b].
Maybe if I keep praying for you, you 'll come around.
LOL You are incredible. Your self awareness is so unbelievably lacking it is actually funny.
I do not want you to pray for a car for me. LOLOLOL I was making a joke in order to show how silly and offensive to some your thread is.
I am quite capable of manifesting almost anything I need without you preyin' ter Jeebus fer me. And preying ter Jeebus against my express wishes and request for me ter becum dum enough to come around to your way of thinking will certainly take a miracle.
Pray for world peace instead. Let me know when it arrives.
Or do we not need that?
Dear me.
Edit - so - two people (not me) actually made a request of you and you basically told them to stick it. You also made some condescending remark about the "opposition" and made it clear that "those who don't want prayer" are getting it more for asking you not to pray for them. How is that in any way doing what I assume you intended with this thread? Do you not understand why that is offensive to some people?
Bless you for thinking I'm incredible...
The difference between you and I is this: I know that I am intolerant of some things, unyielding in my beliefs, and sarcastic on ocassion.
You are exactly the same, but you don't see it. Our platforms are diametrically opposed; one to the other...
You may not believe this, but it is true.....You prove it every time to enter a religious forum and fight against religion and Jesus.
You can talk about me as much as you'd like. It doesn't matter because.....
I shall not be
I shall not be moved.
I shall not be,
I shall not be moved.
I'm like a tree planted by the waters,
I shall not be moved.....
I know you remember that song from Sunday School....
love you Mark.....
I got several mental images from the "We shall not be moved" lyrics. non of them flattering unfortunately but certainly funny!
I don't want to know what you imagined but I'm glad those lyrics made you happy....
No - you do not. You are incredible though.
Yes....I do and you love me too
I read your Keyword Research Review. Very informative and helpful. Thanks for writing it.
No - I do not love you. I do not know you. I hate your belief system and would love to help you with your mental illness, but - I would not die in your place - if that is what you use as your criteria to judge love by. And I do not think you would die for a random stranger either.
If you loved me, you would respect me by listening to what I say and acknowledging it in some way. If you loved people - you would respect what they say to you when they ask you to stop spamming the forums with this nonsense that always - always - causes a fight.
My pleasure. But - I did not write it because I love you.
How odd - is this how you convince yourself that you are loved? By making up new meanings for the word "love"? If you loved me - you would not be doing this. What you really mean is -
You think you know what is best for me.
Kristian love.
Some things never change.
Why are those who claim to have no belief the ones who make the greatest effort to insult and wage rage? If those who have saved themselves from religion could manufacture some selfcontrol - I would be amazed.
Why do you accuse me of insult and rage? I am not angry - I did not insult. This was not even directed at you. Why do you feel the need to attack me for sharing what I believe?
I have lots of beliefs. I believe the Christian religion has been and is continuing to be a cause of conflict in the world, and I can prove it if you wish. I am perfectly in control thank you.
How are you?
Hi Mark,
Your tirade aqbout how the poster needs to forget about an invisible super being is the same as a religious poster giving a tirade that you need to believe in God. You BOTH do the same thing (DEMAND THE OTHER CONVERT) yet you fail to acknowledge your participation. Apparently only you are allowed to share what you believe?
No it wasn't directed at me, and no I have not attacked you. We all know I question the tactics used by all on these religion forums.
I question the selfcontrol as it seems clear that those with no God based beliefs are perpetually and incessantly ridiculing those christians who simply post in the proper forums. Why couldn't you just ignore a thread about something you have no faith in?
I am doing ok. Looking forward to surgery and feeling better eventually. Thanks
Glad you are doing OK and I hope the surgery goes as planned.
I know you question my tactics. I also know you choose to ignore the other side of the coin. Do I need to explain once again about how religion causes conflict and if left unopposed causes all sorts of terrible happenings? Read any history book.
Mark,
So you acknowledge you are trying to convert people and that you re ok with (perhaps even proud) to use the same tactics you blame christians for using? Why does that make the tactic "better"?
You rage against religion because you blame it for being the root of conflict, right? And you mock all the christians hoping to stop the hate and make the world better? Those are much the same reasons christians give for trying to convert people...so why does that make your motives ok and theirs not ok? Thse are the two sides of the coin you refered to, right?
History is what it is.
No. Not trying to convert anyone. I don't care one whit what you believe. All I ask is that you keep it to yourself unless asked. Is that too much to ask?
Rage? Why the inflammatory language. Religion is at the root of a lot of conflicts. I cam prove it.
Your unwillingness to see your religion's failings aside - I am not knocking on people's doors. And history is clear about religion.
Quoted from Mark in an earlier post :
Once you understand that there is not an actual invisible super being called god, and how these manifestations actually come to pass - you will understand the whole thing much more clearly than you apparently do. The first thing you need to do is drop this rubbish attached to Christianity that some one else dunnit for you, because your version of god and jesus have absolutely nothing to do with spirituality. Nothing.
That is a demand to convert. Period.
Rather than respond to the other tactics - deal with this reality first would you.
No, it's an explanation of cause and effect. Read it again.
The christian perspective would claim the conflict will resolve when all repent. Mark is telling all to abandond God and the conflict will resolve itself. Both sides hold a cause and effect belief. Perhaps you should read it again.
Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge difference. Mark did not threaten his doubters with eternal damnation. I take my earlier post back. Reading it countless times will not help you to understand it.
And Marks belief that there is nothing beyond this life is not considered as equally distressing to a christian? You are right - rereading it won't help you either.
So because you are terrified of life, that justifies threatening others with eternal damnation?
That may make sense to a psychopathic lunatic.
Your assumptions are so wrong. I am not afraid of life nor death. My personal beliefs have no bearing in the point at hand.
You just keep running circles to avoid the point.
You claim to be incapable of hate yet you spew insults at one particular group of people.
You claim tolerance, but withhold it from one particular group of people.
Your claims aren't viable as you fail to demonstate tolerance in your posts nor do you disguise the hate very well.
I would be asking the same questions of a christian who was stalking atheist threads.
That is the problem with being incapable of individual thought.
What point do you think I'm avoiding again?
I never express hate for individuals, nor do I hate anyone or tell them they and their family are going to rot in hell!
Show me where I did other than let you know that I think religionists are a bunch of loony godbotherers?
This far into dialogue you decide that the problem is that I am "incapable of individual thought"??!! I have been the one asking you questions. What a cop out.
Keep thinking you are so smart and so kind. Keep spewing the insults and fostering ill will if not outright hate, all the while thinking you are doing the world a favor.Just know you are just like the fanatical christians. You pull the same crap, use the same tools, and are just as closed minded and hate filled.
My ability to have individual thoughts wrote this
Why don't you address the issue I raised?
That would show a capacity for thought.
I don't do hate, you must be speaking of someone else. I just point out sanctimonious supercilious third person threats based on someone else's sky fairy beliefs
My questions to you have all focused on trying to have civil dialogue. Even people of different opinions should be able to interact on a forum civilly. What is your reason for entering every thread on the christian forums? It is difficult to participate on a thread with someone constantly calling others mentally ill, or psychotic. That is not productive discussion. Are you interested in the people on the forums or just making fun of christians?
H.A.
I'm praying for a speedy recovery and that you begin to feel better soon....
Nope...the Buddhist stole it...I was tired of walking
Edit: I should say *borrowed* as I'm not allowed to steal
Edit: Oh crap...I'm not allowed to lie either
Edit: Mark, come and pick up your car...I need to clear my conscience
Flamin Buddhists. always with the conscience!
I don't need a conscience at the moment, I have twin 5 year olds and a 6 year old at home sick. I am getting plenty of input to keep me inline.
Yikes!
I am currently babysitting my terrified dog who believes thunder and lightning are the end of the world as we know it.
Good luck with the kids.
Thanks! I have the flu, but being with the little ones is always a privilege and I feel fine despite the virus.
They are so beautiful these little people!
I had a Labrador who was terrified of both as well. The kids used to put earmuffs on him, bury him in pillows on the bed, then snuggle up to him.
Earmuffs....lol...that's awesome. I have a bed set up in the wardrobe for her. She's a terrier, so small, dark spaces are her preferred thing.
So yes, I keep my dog in the closet!
Yeah, 5 & 6 year old's are so adorable. It's great to soak up as much of that as possible...all too soon they are teenagers.
I have a couple of teenagers also and a younger son just turning 22 soon.
The teenagers are beautiful girls, one 13 the other 17. Both adore the little ones. I am in a good place.
Give that little dog a comforting hug from me. It is really bad when they shiver in fear and their heart rate gets high.
I think people holding them helps at least for some dogs.
You are lucky!!
Actually my niece and nephew who are teenagers are also really beautiful people.
Yes, the shivering is heartbreaking...but my dog is a strange one and has never much liked being held even when she's happy. I try to distract her by playing ball and keeping the tv really loud to drown out the thunder.
Right now she's worn herself out and is squished between the couch and the wall sleeping. She just loves crawling into tight spaces.
Uh oh....National Geographic channel just started a documentary on the origins of the universe....shhhhhh
Looks interesting!
Brenda, my friend,
You got it, what the "opposition" doesn't realize is that each one who speaks mockery is being prayed for with even more diligence....I love it...those who don't want prayer consciously are geting it just because they responded to this post.....lol
The insults and mockery are empty and can do no harm. Nothing can deter the love of God.... , So, they can keep on bringing them. And, we can keep on praying
She sed she would get God to give me wot I wanted. I want the car. How is this greedy? Like wot god sez? If precious gets the money to go to Disney land - what don't I get the car? How is that greedy? It is not like I axed for a Porsche Cayenne or anything.
LOL Who is you - and who is precious! And btw your greed is the whole reason America is in economic crisis now. Too many unbelievers asking for too many cars, ya know
Precious Pearl. She sed wot god gave her the money to take her little girl to the pedophile place - Disney Land.
And where is my friggin' car wot the religionist promised?
You should really ask God about that car thing....and, you might want to re-read the post...there are no promises in it.
Mark,
You still can't find your car????? Maybe you should pray...we will teach you how....
You are right Leslie. Love is the greatest gift of all, and I love everyone.
I cannot drive that can I?
So - where is my car?
Give it a rest.
I am back. Who cares. Close the thread.
I wish a prayer forward for Mr. Jones of the wayward Dove Outreach Center... May the hate that they incite in others fall on their own heads, and not on those of the good and decent Americans who know better...
For the future wars and global conflicts that this "church" and its leadership help spur on...may it be their sons and daughters that have to pay the price for the harm they are seeking to create....
May the "national burn a quran day" mantra espoused by these fools only cause the downfall of their own organization, in terms of credibility as well as actual ability to operate and give Mr. Jones a paycheck...
May he have to get a real job where he is held accountable for his actions, as opposed to his current position as rabble rouser...
"Christian or Not-Submit your Prayer Need"
Leave Us Alone!
All of these folks are going to pray for what I need, right? Okay. Pray that all of the religious zealots/fanatics/whatevers stop clogging up the forum and go to a site that's about religion. Pray that one enterprising young zealot starts up a HubReligion or ZealotPages site and they all migrate there.
There are always dreams, right?
A prayer that all the people who think prayer is not a waste of time will be enlightened and stop making nonsense claims.
And that they twist themselves in knots trying to decide if they want this prayer answered or not.
25,000 people are dying from hunger, poverty, famine in Africa everyday. Yet we are here praying to get a better paying job and a new Subaru Forester. Certainly reflects the pinnacle of human selfishness.
Prayers for world peace on the other hand have been unanswered for thousands of years. God certainly works in mysterious ways.
'If there is a God, please forgive me' Mother Teresa
Earnest, I've been trying to keep up with you but my eyelids are getting really heav...... zzzzZZZZ.... ZZZZzzzz....
I should be easy to keep up with today. I spent most of the night bowing to the porcelain god.
