Ladies and gentlemen...I am not a Bible scholar nor a Prophet. I am neither a Priest nor a Pastor nor a Rabbi. I am simply a regular human being searching for the "truth" and wanting to discover what the "true religion" is just like anybody else. Because religions are so different, only one could be the "true religion." Within the "true religion" there may be more than one faith group that are sufficiently accurate in their beliefs and practices that all could qualify as "true." The problem is how to find out which religion and which faith groups have this status. Most religious groups teach that their own beliefs and practices are the only true set, and that all other faith groups contain some degree of error. How will you determine which religion is the real one? Is it just based on the number of followers? Is it just based on popularity? Is it just based on who the leader of a particular denomination is? Is it just based on which ones gets the most money? Is it just based on the demographics and the country you live in? Is it just based on your color? Your race? Your nationality? Your ethnicity? Your background?
There are just so many unanswered questions on the topic of religion and religious practices and beliefs. People are inclined to oppress, discriminate against and it's so sad that some had even committed murder against people of other faiths in the name of the religion they had believed in.
But no matter what religious group you belong to or what religious belief you may represent, just always remember...a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. A blind cannot lead a blind because they will both fall in the ditch. Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. To summarize it...our personal relationship to Jesus Christ and doing what He taught us to do are the most important things that really matter. Salvation is only through Jesus Christ according to God, our Father. Religion alone cannot save us. It is a simple fact that many people miss and don't understand. God the Father gave us a choice to choose between eternal damnation or eternal life . He has given us the choice and the freedom to go in heaven or hell. It is only up to us to decide our chosen path. I encourage everyone reading this to pray for forgiveness, repent of all your sins and accept Jesus now as your personal Saviour and Master and He promises to us that He will reward us and He will be with us until the end of time.
because all religions including one you are promoting is man made and humans have variety of thoughts..so there are so many of them...
If you need wisdom, ask God and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.
I hope that you got wisdom from god and have realized that world is much older than religion and religion is man made
The debate where Jesus existed or not is foolish to engage in, because neither side can produce tangible evidence that He did or didn't walk this earth. And what I mean by tangible evidence is a corpse.
Anyone who believes in God's son (Jesus Christ) has eternal life.
That's pretty much what all the other gods promise, too.
Your a Cristian Evangelical under cover...your approach has been tried before...Jesus Christ is a metaphorical concept...why do you evangelicals insist on humanising a concept.
Give all your cares and worries to God, for He cares about you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.
I read this with tongue-in-cheek.
There's an old saying: "there's a fool born every minute."
You seem to be one of them.
You're an animal. Pls explain to me why you think that you, as an animal, are eligible for "immortality?"
You know absolutely nothing about this "jesus" so I don't want a reply that refers to this jesus character.
I gather from what you wrote, that you are not educated in the evolution and history of man and his religious propensities.
If you were, you would not have asked this obviously silly question with the sub-rosa intent of "conversion."
Tsk, tsk.
May Jesus Christ touch you one of these days and may He come in to your heart and life very soon when you least expect it.
Jesus died a natural and peaceful death in India; he cannot touch anybody nor he can come to anybody's heart now.
How in hell would you know where the dead guy went? Were you there?
@paar hey man..but jesus's second coming is in your book too...
Hahahaha... congrats! you have just made my list of those who have nothing of value to read or respond to...:-)
qwark this person has never met you. http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/53538

Qwark, watch it. I'm like Optimus Prime! << Recyclable >> I've got many uses and I always save the day!
I am just one of the messengers of the Good News. The Bible teaches us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
What is Dharma (Religion) ?
The word ‘Dharma’ has been derived from the root ‘Dhri’ which means to sustain, to support and to guide. English word for Dharma is ‘Religion’ which comes from the Latin infinitive religare : i.e. Re meaning back, ligare meaning to bind or unite; or that which binds one back to one’s origin. Thus, religion means ‘re-union with God’,
Dharma (Religion) comprises those principles or doctrines, with the knowledge and proper performance of which, universal peace and communion with God is attained. The deeds which benefit the doer and his fellow beings are included in Dharma. If they result in pain or misery to others, they are termed as irreligious or adharma.
May the peace and love of God be with you.
Jesus Christ did not established a religion. He established a way of life that humanity should live their life on the earth. The foundation are love peace free. The results will naturally be shown in a person life automatically. Let us keep it simple and less words and more of JUST BE IT. LOVE PEACE FREE. You will see the results of it instantly in your life. I wish all of humanity the vrey best in living on the earth now and forever. THANK YOU.
If you are going to have such crazy opinions, it would help if you actually read the bible. That way,you could put some thought behind your opinion, thus making it interesting and worthwhile. If you don't believe, fine. why? See if you can form an intelligent sentence with a valid reason why you think there is no Jesus,Buddha, mohammed, whatever. You all seem so vigilant, yet have nothing behind it. we're all gonna find out some day.
there was buddha , jesus , mohammed..they were sincere being and i dont doubt their sincerity towards human race...but it doesnot necessarily mean that what they said 2.5-1.4 thousand years ago , we need to follow word by word...can't say about jesus and mohammed but buddha would surely be disappointed if he is followed word by word...people need to understand that these were plain humans who did what they thought is good for mankind but they weren't perfect since nothing is perfect...take good out of them and move on...keep it simple...
It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.
You mean it is not possible to please God without being Stupid? So, those who are naturally smart & rational are actually incapable of pleasing Him?
God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please Him.
No, wisdom is recognising it is all in your head and there is no invisible fairy in the sky.
Blessed are those who believe without seeing Him, God said.
You mean those who are Blind & lack common sense are the blessed ones? While those who have sharp observation, are deprived of his blessing, ryt?
Those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Do I have to repeat the question or do you only answer with inane unrelated quotes?
A flat planet person are we? Taliban perhaps?
Yes we do fly in planes. Not hard to see what shape it is from 34,000 ft.
honestly i am bit shocked to hear that some one still thinks that world is flat...it is unbelievable...
I think it was a comparison that went wrong.
interesting point. Interesting question. Religion, is only a word. So many religions, but only one bible, and only one god of the bible. Many man made gods. We will never all agree, never. But i thought your points you made were worth thinking about. What does Saved actually mean?
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Saved from whom? Let me guess, "GOD", ryt?
It also doesn't necessarily mean that we should not obey their word, either.
Religion if understood correctly and followed correctly and sincerely may save one in this world and also in the hereafter.
sure, since religion made up hell and all that sin, its the only thing that can save you from it! Knock yourself out! There's some real nice poetry in that there Bible, too!

Why do people of different religions constantly argue which is the the "true" religion? It seems like a never ending cycle. It seems like a war of words. I became caught in it at one time myself. I don't know that anyone will ever win it?

Is there one true religion? For centuries--at least 20--people have died for their religion. Christian religions, for example, derive from a Jew, whose followers call themselves Christians because they follow him. Obviously there are religons that are neither Christian nor Jewish. Islam's Quran has...
