History and historicity of the First Ever Atheist compared with Jesus or Moses
I am much surprised often by the Atheists asking proof from history or historicity of Jesus or Moses.
Do the Atheists have any history and historicity of their own?
For instance; can any Atheist tell us history and historicity of the first ever Atheist?
Let us compare the history and historicity of the First Ever Atheist with the history and historicity of Jesus and Moses.
I am much surprised often by the Atheists asking proof from history or historicity of Jesus or Moses.
why are you surprised...infact you should be glad that there are people who seek reason before faith...human development remains safer when people question ...if one accepts everything which has been written thousands of years ago , we wont have reached where we are today...
now coming to your point..it is good point but alas atheism doesnot have profound history...you know how religious masters have been....they created lot of rules due to their insecurity and atheist got getting killed up..something in name of devil...at times in some other name......but yes India does have atheist history from 6 AD...but atheism is as old as theism...since human began to think and created religion , there were people who opposed god concept...like we can't trace when did men come with god concept since it is age old...since time when human lived in jungle , in same way we can't know when did atheism first began...
we can very safely assume that both are product of human brain...
So then there is nothing to compare. Comparisons are rarely if ever useful unless you are looking for commonalities rather than differences.
@paar so?...dont worry if hub does exist for 50 years and you , me are still alive...you would have plenty material to write about atheist...you can start atheist history...you have golden opportunity man...go for it...
That is because every living being is born atheist.
History of humans begins with atheism and ends at delusion of theism
The first ever atheist would be the first man to live. Sadly believers murdered him for not believing.
well that happens both with atheist and someone who comes up with different version of god...so guess that is human nature....we still have blasphemy laws in some countries...shows how insecure humans are ...
You brought this up in another thread, why repeat is because you didn't get the answers you wanted?
He is very upset that some people do not believe in his Invisible Super Being. I don't know why.
but he does upset many believers too out here...atleast atheism provides one main benefit...it works as unifer for all religions ...they can't agree on what god is like but they can agree that atleast atheist are wrong
The first atheist, is Satan.
Hence, any of Satan's followers ... atheists ... are not comparable, to the True Believers ...
Forget about comparing Satan, with Prophets, hence, with Jesus, the son of Blessed Mary. Peace be Upon him..
Don't be silly. Surely Satan believes in god.
now thats illogical according to concept of religion...satan is someone who is said to have spinal cord to defy god...now to defy one must know that there is god and belief in its existence...atheist on other hand dont belief in existence of god at first place...so satan comes in category of believers to start with...
@mark
i agree seeing how much man slaughter some religions has done over the years...satan must be brand ambassador of god
Believing is obeying; Satan doe not obey the Creator-God.
satan doesnot obey in god and still god can't do anything about satan...isn't it interesting?...now coming to your point well what you are talking about as believing is believing in god's words...and for that one must believe god exist...satan believes that god exist as per religious concepts while atheist dont believe that god exist at first place...
Believing is not obeying, get a dictionary please.
Believing in the Creator-God has to be followed by obeying Him; reason demands.
reason demands that existence of creator be established without doubt...i can't demand anything from any one unless i make myself available for all to see...since creator didnt do that , he lost all right to demand anything at first place...ball is in HIS court...if he demands then first he should make himself public...there are 400+ religions , many many claimed divine books...he needs to first define who he is and then demand...that is what reasonable thinking expects...it is like some book says ghost is there and so demand that we should fear it...now is it logical?...is it reasoning?...ghost/god/satan alls existence is debatable and hence demand is unreasonable...
Creator-God exists without doubt; but He has given free will to human beings; there is no compulsion in believing him.
One may, therefore, deny Him if one likes; it is all the suffeing and risk of the non-believer
who says it is without doubt...of-course it is full of doubt and doubting is natural thing to do...even the self proclaimed believers at some point of time doubt his/her existence because it is un natural to believe something which is only as per few books , can never be seen and can never justify all the sufferings of the world...infact it is better to deny because that seizes the suffering...humans become responsible for their actions rather than looking some where else for blessing ...in end humans become self reliant and if we see our journey from jungle to cities...human is naturally self reliant and human creates way...never anything like god interfered in it , neither it would...even if god exist ...seeing nature operating confirms that god never ever interferes in it...so suffering seizes..for those who believe god interferes in day to day life and if they are honest to themselves and things around them, they would really become frustrated..
Truthful persons and men of character called Messengers Prophets of all periods and in all the regions of the world testify to His existence without doubt.
There is no compulsion so the people in confusion and in doubt called Atheists,Agnostics,Skeptics of different hues and colors are free to deny him out of their ignorance. It is their free will though
come on man....few people who existed some thousands of years ago stated something and you believe them???????...just because someone said something about something then that becomes true for you?...did they show anyone that god exist?...did they have any proof about what they said was truth and not creation of their brain?...i understand faith doesnot work on proof but then don't use 'cannot be doubted' norm...it is under doubt till there are proofs which can be validated by n number of people...
coming to confusion where religious people are not confused...i agree to that...their brain is so convinced with their belief and their belief is truth for them..it is function of brain and i fully grant that...but those who cannot doubt , cannot test in unbiased way...doubting , being skeptic , questioning system , denying , rejecting , analyzing is only way human progress..infact you should be grateful to people who doubt because they are the ones who take humanity forward and muhammad was one of them...he doubted existing system , he challenged existing system, he was skeptic about what others called god...he formed new system which was definitely one step forward from what existed previously...muhammad, christ and even ghulam shaab were revoluntary in their thinking because they were skeptic about existing system...in same way science works and in same way all progressive societies operates...
we are progressing from multi god to one god to no god...so it is work in progress...we would reach there and then there wont be much to doubt about
Right in our own age the Promised Messiah 1835-1908 has testified in this connection; it is not a matter of thousands of years.
i wont argue on something which you cherish ...He is respected man for you and i respect him for eliminating inhuman doctrine from your religion...I wont discuss him...he was man with good intent and neither do i doubt intentions of creators of religion...they were people who were had good intent and their contribution to humanity is tremendous...i dont doubt that...
Thank you ; and I respect you.
We were just having a friendly discussion to know the truth.
I will just add something as a food for thought.
Can one see everything? Our naked eyes don't see everything; eyes can see only things of certain density and at a certain distance; neither too far not too close.
Blind persons cannot see; they are also human beings; why demand to see god with the eyes?
It doesn't matter Satan is disobedient, we've got a "Save Satan fan club" going.
well you know who is founder member of that club?...It is god...god created satan and it is god which tolerates satan but punishes innocent humans...which means god wants to save satan but punish those who follow satan...also value of god is function of satan...without satan , god becomes useless...
Not according to some God won't save Satan. But I see your points
If there is a GOD/Allah/YHWH, then he is the first Atheist Ever.
Because -
1. He refuses to believe in any Higher Power
2. He refuses to believe in any Similar/Equivalent God/Power beside him.
By definition, He was the first & greatest Atheist ever
And there you have it one and the same. No reason to compare if they come from the one source.
@rishy...well your logic works man....quiet right...
I don't know about any history of historicity of atheism. I don't really care about it - I only know I'm an atheist in the first place because society seems to think I need a label to account for my lack of belief in a God-thing.
But could you please stop using the word historicity, because it's very difficult to read quickly in one's head, and I found your over-use of it rather distracting! Peace and love to you
Linda.
Another BS from paar. *nods head*
Every born child is atheist till he/she gets brainwashed by their parents cult. For example, you're going to brainwash atheist kids to make them ahamadiya.

Atheism only means the lack of a belief in God. Why is it so hard for Christians to realize that we dismiss their religion for the same reasons that they dismiss all other religions? It doesn't make us horrible people, immoral, or mean that we are going to hell. It just means that we think the...

Is Atheism really just another religion or faith based concept? It seems like the notions that there is a God or there is not a God, are both founded in belief because there is not proof either way. Well there is proof, but not conclusive in either direction. So aren't organizations with set forth...

Atheists do not dislike God - they dislike the God which has been created, described and distributed by human beings. "A Christian God" - says an atheist - "is not a God at all" - and they are true - up to a great extent. A "Muslim God" - said he - "is...

Why can't atheists and believers leave each other alone to not believe or believe? Why is it that atheists (not all, some) continuously question believers about their belief and vice versa; why do believers (not all, some) feel they have to justify their belief? Surely if you don't believe in God...

Before I go into this discussion, we all need to understand that I am not a scientist, I am not a prophet, and I am not an expert on the topic. I am merely trying to offer my belief in how atheism occurs. And why some of you might not like what I am about to say, understand that it is not meant as...

Atheists, do you despise Jesus or just religions (in general) that worship God?Such God worshiping religions would include Judaism and Islam. Also, did something happen to you to make you angry about "God" or is this just a scientific decision you made in college?? Many atheists demand...
