because it's King James 400 year old Anniversary in 2011? And it's for the King James Bible Trust.

    I DON"T GET IT

yes I do, it's just another venue to help so many-if all the money that is really collected went to actual causes, what a world we have, but yes they have many many business cost expenses oh me oh my

You know it would have been so cool if they just spread some love, celebrate with whatever and let people who believe, rejoice

    PLEASE DONATE??????????
(valium too sorry I wasn't clear)

A lot of these so called non profit groups, may say that they are non profit, but they sure hold on to enough of they cash. Some claim that 90 percent of the money donated to them goes to their costs. Which includes shiny new buildings to house their offices, and huge salaries for the people at the top of the donation ladder.
Jim Baker got burned and spent years in prison for all the money he milked from his charity. He also built several very expensive homes that were supposed to be for the handicapped, and it turned out that his relatives were living in them, and none of the homes had handicap access. The people he claimed were living in the homes were actually being sent to motels, awaiting their so-called "placement".

The courts kicked the relatives out, and had Baker's charity go in and redesign the homes to make them ready for the 2 dozen or so handicapped people that were supposed to be living there. The families of those people also sued Baker and won.

We're talking almost 250 million he milked from his charity for his own use. And, now he's back running the same charity again. Very sad.

Well, what I have to say about that is we have had alot of bad examples set before us where men and women that have fallen from their teachings or upright
beliefs totally going against what they have lived and taught
before men is just a reminder for us not to walk the same path,
pray for those individuals and we need to

worry about ourselves and ask what we would do in that situation? What voice will you listen to, as long as we are making honest money and our mind and heart is clear we won't have time to worry about what the next man is doing. They can fall and get back up with a peace of mind and a new walk on live because if their forgiveness. What are you doing with yourself?

    Please Donate?

Usually means they want money. lol

They apparently believe it's an important event, and as such, they designed advertisements for revenue.

How much will be used? Who knows. I know from experience that the U.S. based charities and non-profit, fail in their task and that's pathetic.

Most charities fail to even reach government regulations and that minimum has been set at 5% of total revenue generated. 5% is a slap in the face to the citizens and their importance. And, the sad fact is most charities never reach the guideline. So what does that say about them? Poor job. Piss poor job.

One of the motivations for starting Cagsil. smile big_smile

    lol Kimbers, you're awesome.
as if they don't make enough printing them & @ near $100US a pop on the bookshelf, they need a charity fund?! Biz must be slowing down.
I was always under the impression every KJ Bible came with a clause that a portion of the wholesale price was automatically set aside for charity work. I stand corrected if am inaccurate about this.

      King James Bible Copyright Status
The Authorized Version is still under copyright protection in the United Kingdom, although it has moved no copyright status and is legally reproduced in most other parts of the world. In the United Kingdom, however, the British Crown holds the copyrights under a perpetual Crown copyright. Publishers are only allowed to reproduce the King James Version only after receiving letters patent.

In Wales, Northern Ireland and England the office of Queens Printer holds letters patent as does the Scottish Bible Board in Scotland. The office of Queen's printer has had the right to reproduce the King James Bible for several centuries. The earliest known reference of a reproduction made by the office of the Queen's printer was in 1577, 430 years ago. During the 1700s, John Baskett bought all the surviving interests in the monopoly of who could reproduce the King James Bible. Baskett then distributed the rights to reproduce the Bible amongst a number of printers.

The Queen's printer of England, Wales and Northern Ireland became known as the Cambridge University Press. The Cambridge University Press inherited the right to reproduce the King James Version in 1990 after taking over the firm of Eyre and Spottiswoode.

The copyright protection that the King James Version (as well as the Book of Common Prayer) has is a reminder of the era when the Crown held complete control over all the printing and publishing that happened in the United Kingdom. This copyright protection states that only those publishers who hold letters patent are allowed to reproduce the Bible independently of the Queen's Printer. The ruling also prohibits the importing of Authorized Versions into the United Kingdom. Even though there is a freedom to reproduce the Bible freely in other parts of the world, the United Kingdom maintains its hold on the copyright privileges and will only allow those authorized with letters patent to make reproductions.

Im not being sarcastic when I say thanks for the infor but patents have nothing to do with asking for money because the book is 400 years old, just have yet to see all those million donations make a big difference, nothing less is acceptable given they are capable of mass mass change

        I'll shut up now

        cheers mate

God does not need donations, never has and never will, it's mealy mouthed men who ask for cash to do Gods work.

Where God guides, He provides, so if someone is asking for cash, they ain't doing what they are told to do, they are doing what they think they should do.

Whenever I have been tasked to do something, I have NEVER asked for cash, nor needed to, the required spondulas arrived just as required, not a second earlier than needed, but not late either!

One of my rules has always been that if I tell you I am short of cash, you are released from any obligation to help me.

Either God provides, or it ain't from God in the first place.

Oh come on, Kimberly!  How can you expect these people to continue their wonderful indoctrination procedures without first class educational materials?  You know they just give them away at a fraction (43/5's perhaps?) of production cost!

Besides, the 747 is due for an oil change and the CEO wants a new Maserati.

So cough it up!  (To assure your salvation you might consider donating my share as well...)

No worship, no pennance, no services. Just bankroll me. I think I'd offer about as much as any other religion by openly offering nothing except an oppurtunity to donate.
