Starting a "New" Religion, tongue in cheek

   I am sick and tired of homosexuals crying for equal rights.
   
   The Judeo-Christian faiths believe according to their religious Holy Scripture whether that be the Torah, or the Holy Bible, that homosexuality is an abomination before Almighty God. In other words it is a sin punishable by God.
   Even Islam does not defend the homosexual lifestyle. All three faiths see the sexual lifestyles of these people as sinful but will not turn these people away,out of love for their fellow man, which God commands.
   
   These people are welcome to worship God but expected to mend their ways and change, to shun their sexual orientation and become hetro-sexual. They are asked to change the onething in themselves they either cannot or are reluctant to change.
   
   Would it not be easier and make more sense for these people rather than changing their ways, to start up their own "New" Religion maybe call it the "Gay Church"? Then in their own church they could have their gay marriages and live their gay lifestyles.
   
   Oh wait a minute, how would they be "Fruitful and multiply and replenish anything"? I guess they would have to skip the being fruitful, replenishment part and the multiplying. Legal Adoption would not be acceptible either since a child needs a mother and a father not mom and sis or dad and bro.
   
   Since homosexuality is a chosen lifestyle, then why don't these people choose to live like hetro-sexuals instead of rocking the boat all the time.

            I tollerate these people anywhere and everywhere for whatever the reason. But because they choose to be or act differently than the norm doesn't mean that they can.

      I am not trying to control anyone here. I'm just sick of their "Poor pity me attitude, when they know that they are trying to change or over turn religious biblically based beliefs. They want to fit into society, but they want things their way. "You can't have your cake and eat it too." Sorry
      God made the rules for society, society follows as God commands and these people want to have one foot outside the box and one foot inside. Nope ain't gonna happen, not in my lifetime.

         They are not trying to change biblical based beliefs, they want equality which religion continues to undermine.
         Equality is for everyone, not just those who believe in a god.
         Says you. You're against equality.
         Prove outside of the ridiculous bible or any other religious book that a god created the rules. I dare you.
         I can see you intolerance and hatred for other people who don't live by your beliefs. Good show. Get over yourself and your imaginary god.

            They know what the bible says about homosexuality but they ask that it be overlooked or ignored so that they can belong. NO!
            I donot have to prove outside the Holy Bible anything since my religious belief is based upon the Holy Bible.

               Our Government (and laws) are free from Religion. So they should be afforded equal rights. At least in the good ol' US of A.
               
               Who cares if they can't be "fruitful and multiply", we have a population issue as it is.
               
               I haven't met a single person yet who follows the bible completely. They always follow it according to how they live, not as it is written. So using the bible to condone or condemn is faulty, if one is not following it to the letter themself.
               
               And since most of todays christian's consider themselves "under grace" and therefore free for all of 614 commandmants, with the exception the "Ten Commandmants", please show me where in the Ten Commandmants anything condemning Gays.

         Sorry, God (thank goodness!) didn't make the rules for society.  Society did, and while some are similar to God's laws many aren't.  Some even go so far as to (shudder) directly contradict and refute God's laws.
         
         I highly doubt that there is a soul on earth that follows ALL of God's laws (especially those made up by the priesthood) - everyone thus has one foot outside and one foot inside.  Even you.

         So it's only gay MEN you have a problem with...Me thinks you doth protest too much...I've found that blatant homophobia is generally a result of latent homosexual desires.  Fear of society's reaction to inner desires sometimes causes males (in particular) to turn their lack of self-acceptance outward onto others who with the courage to live their life the way the homophobe wishes they could.  They use religion as an excuse a lot, because who could be righter than God?  Its pitiful really.

   I thought tongue in cheek meant a joke. I don't find it particularly funny, and it seems a little tasteless; but it's still a joke. I'm not sure why people are bashing you. You don't actually believe what you wrote in the OP. Do you?

   Will the world never run out of bigots?  I am tired of reading hatred which comes from extreme views.  It is by no means only the religious who have hatred in their hearts, religion is one excuse amongst many that entitles people to hate anyone who is different to themselves.  I find it all rather depressing, and have lost hope that humans will ever be able to live together.  Bring on the swine or bird flu and wipe us all out.  Give the other animals a chance.  They can't make a worse attempt than we have.

      Look on the bright side Wentworth. The radicals are a tiny tiny minority. They have to yell very loudly to be heard within the vast sea of the majority. The majority supports equality for all.

   It's the ego that likes to stand up and say, "I am better than everyone else because (insert phrase here)."
   
   It is human nature to fear that which we don't understand.  So instead of pushing past the fear and really identify where the issue is coming from we let the ego take over and do our bidding for us. Its a nice easy and comfortable way to push our insecurities off on someone else and let them take the blame.
   
   I would assume that our friend here has had some unsavory experiences with homosexuals and instead of making an attempt to educate and operate out of love and understanding he chooses to hide behind the fear of the unknown.  Either that or he is allowing religious indoctrination to cloud his better judgment and make his decisions for him. 
   
   Take responsibility for your fears and emotions.  Don't dump them on someone else because you choose to be ignorant instead of understanding.
