Which active NFL quarterback will lead his team to a Super Bowl victory?
As of February, 2016, there are only eight active NFL quarterbacks who has led his team to a Super Bowl victory. Will there be nine of them after Super Bowl LI - 51 is played on 2017 at NRG Stadium?
Tom Brady has won four Super Bowls.
Super Bowl XXXVI - 36 in 2002
Super Bowl XXXVIII - 38 in 2004
Super Bowl XXXVIX - 39 in 2005
Super Bowl XLIX - 49 in 2015
Ben Roethlisberger has won two Super Bowls.
Super Bowl XL - 40 in 2006
Super Bowl XLIII - 43 in 2009
Peyton Manning has won two Super Bowls.
Super Bowl XLI - 41 in 2007
Super Bowl XL - 50 in 2016
Eli Manning has won two Super Bowls.
Super Bowl XLII - 42 in 2008
Super Bowl XLVI - 46 in 2012
Drew Brees has won one Super Bowl.
Super Bowl XLIV - 44 in 2010
Aaron Rodgers has won one Super Bowl.
Super Bowl XLV - 45 in 2011
Joe Flacco has won one Super Bowl
Super Bowl XLVll - 47 in 2013
Russell Wilson has won one Super Bowl
Super Bowl XLVlll - 48 in 2014
The aforementioned facts regarding the winning quarterbacks shows that it is very difficult, even with parity, in the NFL to lead a team with his passing skills. Basically, only eight active quarterbacks has won it for his team since Super Bowl XXXV - 35 that was played in 2001 (15 seasons).
On the Losing Side
As for losing in a Super Bowl game, four of the quarterbacks listed in this hub has done that. That exemplifies the difficulty it is to even get to the ultimate championship game.
Tom Brady was on the losing side for Super Bowl XLII - 42 and XLVI - 46.
Ben Roethlisberger was on the on losing side for Super Bowl XLV - 45.
Peyton Manning was on the losing side for Super Bowl XLIV - 44.
Russell Wilson was on the losing side for Super Bowl XLIX - 49.
