I wouldn't say the greatest, but one of the greatest. Can't forget Lawrence Taylor.

Of course who can forget LT? I would definitely say that it is between the two of them, however my vote goes to Lewis simply because his dominance for so long in this modern era of elite athletes in the NFL.

Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, Ray Nitschke, Mike SIngletary.

Just a few of the guys who might take issue with those who would name Lewis as "best ever" at middle linebacker. I think Lambert and Butkus were more dominant in the their eras than Lewis ever was.

I agree Lawrence Taylor may have been the best all-round backer, even though he was mostly known as a pass rusher.

You better believe it, and if you don't then just watch tonight's big AFC Championship game. RAY WILL BE TRULY MISSED - http://goody5.hubpages.com/hub/Ray-Lewi … retirement
