Why should she have to cut her hair?
What do you think about a little girl being kicked out of school because she would not cut her dreds? Her own hair that she has the right to grow.
I think it is discrimination against personal choice. One's hair is part of the physical being, and the choice of hairstyles part of a person's individuality. A school is the last place a child should be expected to sacrifice such a very personal part of their individuality. If it was purely a matter of "bad" hygiene there are much more appropriate and mature ways the teaching staff can handle such a matter.
