Say technology everywhere went down for a day.  What would you do if you couldn't use it for a day?

I'd read, and I could read by candle light if I really needed or wanted to.

I'd go on a walk in the woods or on the beach, to remind myself how amazing nature is and how technology pales in comparison.

I will feel like we have got finally a moment in life to take a break for our body, mind and soul. Above all for the family peace if I was not earning more than enough from it.

I think I would have to resort to doing housework.

Well this actually happened to me last week when my laptop died and it was not good! After a few hours the house was much cleaner and tidier than it had been for weeks and I had been for a swim but then later I decided enough was enough and I had to go and buy a new laptop!

Sit stunned for a few minutes with wringing of the hands and a low wail.  Then, dust off the pens and paper, head to the local cafe and get to doing things the old fashion way.

Read, and Read some more, then be thankful for the momentary peace & quite that such an event would offer.

I'd spend time with my family or read.  There was a hurricane around here about 7 years ago and the power was off for over a week. Because we were not hooked up to city water (We lived in a small community)  We even had to get water out of our well manually "good thing we didn't have a drilled well in that house"  I mostly read the whole time. I wonder if I would have a day off of work though. Or probably Just end up with paperwork and filing sad

My other jobs would be like sketching some pictures of any kind, seeking out for friends and hanging out with them, talking with guys around, sleeping in noon, during evening if my music player is still working if that doesn't go out, I would listen to my favorite songs, Paying out these days isn't possible as many friends are out working and mostly none would be available to play any outdoor games.
Hope all stays for good but who knows without just power these days are experienced often, right!

We actually do that every week. Every Saturday we turn off the cell phones, unplug the TV (children are too easily tempted) we spend the day playing games, talking, reading, etc.

You should try it, you find out that your children have all kinds of interesting things to say when they're not being brainwashed by the TV monster.
