What would someone have to give you to swear off TV and the web for one year?
Would it have to be extra years to live, several thousand dollars or more? What would it take for someone to convince you to unplug? Oh yes, that includes smart phones too.
A full research library and the blessings of my colleagues. Seriously--if I didn't need the Internet for work, school, and research, I would happily give up the Internet for a year (or more). I once went without a TV for for 18 months, so I know that wouldn't be a problem. I would LOVE to be unplugged.
A trip around the world for a year. I could easily give up television but giving up my computer would be very difficult.

Is it ok to use youtube clips and photos off the web in my hubs??I recently wrote a hub about the new film "Avatar", and used a youtube clip of the trailer and a picture of the cover that I got off the web. Is it ok to do that??

What do you like most about the web?Web surfing, research, networking, etc.......... Explain anything you like most about using the Internet today, and maybe even share your take on the difference from using it like 5-10 years back if you wish.
