Is there anything you would like to invent?

I would like to invent a night dream recorder. What would you like to invent?

Yes!  I have a number of great ideas smile  most of which could become reality if I had the "know how" and funding sad

But the 1 I would like to share is the 1 I would have no idea if it is even possible... if it is, someone PLEASE get to work on it right away so I can buy it smile

I would like there to be a device you can plug in or turn on that emits a sound frequency lethal to house-flies!  No poison, no spraying... just turn it on & WHAM - all those little buggers just drop dead to the floor.

I'm even willing to buy ear plugs for the whole family if needed smile

I am afraid it is hardly possible. But the idea is good!

I have plenty of ideas that I would love to bring to market.  I have even gone so far as to have some of them drawn up AutoCad.  I am still looking for ways to manufacture and market my ideas.  A somewhat easy way to do this is though a design-build product development firm such as the one behind www.quirky.com

a thousand things..sometimes I think some of us may have some cognitive attachment to the figures of the past who may have been great inventors, artists, scientists, and writers. I think that I received a bit of each, but not enough of any one part to become a success in a chosen field. I did try in art, writing, and inventiveness over the years but none with any great success in my endeavors. Once I wrote in a time of much stress, in having a severe brain tumor, two beautiful works of song lyrics. At the time I felt death was eminent and so I sent these lyrics in to producers in California and Tennessee. They were not copyrighted and you can imagine what happened. Now the singers who took credit for my works, one about my father who was like a wind beneath my arms, and the other, a tribute to being American at a time of war, were captured and made into world famous lyrical presentations. I am resolved to see this as a way in sharing of myself, though in not realizing monetarily any benefits. So is life and we may never know just what could have been, or even, if it could have been. Never the less, I would like to be famous someday and in a way of my saying..I did this, and it surpassed my two songs so wrongfully taken from me, and even though I feel they were meant to be, and helped others in dealing with stressful events at the time in history. Most have been proven by history to become famous after death and not while in the throws of their lives, do you not agree?

I'd love to invent two things:

    A car that drives itself
A robot that cooks and cleans my house

Actually, I think both ideas are in the works somewhere, and I can't wait until they go on the market!

Google already has a self driving car on the road in Nevada.  The licence was granted in May 2012.  I actually just read about it this afternoon.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_driverless_car

One thing that I'd like to invent :

Tobacco with zero nicotine, tar, and safe for smokers and surrounding  people so that we call it healthy tobacco. Tobacco of this type will allow people to smoke healthily and tobacco farmers in my and other countries can survive.

I don't need to invent this as all the pieces are out there already but I need to get funding to pull all the pieces together and get it out to the target market. The product would be a portable medical device for the developing countries that will help diagnose basic problems and able to transmit the data to the appropriate medical center and medical practitioner for remote diagnosis. We have the technology and the skills we need to help get the technology out there that will do good.

THat would be good not only for developing countries. It would be demanded almost everywhere!

nice question, there are lot of things to invent but one should primarily understand the need of it before you work towards the invention.
i like your idea of night dream recorder through i think its not possible for now, it might help us to discover ourselves
I am not an inventor but if i have to then i would like to invent something like a backup to brain which is useful for people suffering from alzheimer's

Probably a way to transfer the human consciousness to the digital realm, like a droid robot where i can upload my consciousness or what some people refer to as 'the soul', hence achieving immortality. smile

I would like to invent a device that could convert all smoke and smog on this planet into breathable oxygen once more, clean up all the oceans from pollutants and convert chemical waste and all kinds of garbage into some substance that could be used in construction or in some similar fashion.

You may argue that this would need to involve three different devices, but my contention is to design and construct one single instrument that would be a three-in-one. Would solve all the problems that we are faced with on this planet, in one shot!

Cellular repair device, for human body parts. Repair nerve cells to undo Alzheimer's disease. Undo genetic damage that causes cancer. Undo the cell death from malnutrition that is a major cause of blindness in the developing world, from not enough vitamin A.
