What's the best antivirus for Acer laptops?

I downloaded Avast, and the Acer notification said that it has it's own antivirus, which are all kind of wack.

I have AVG on my computer.  The other PCs have Norton but you have to pay each year for it.  While AVG may not be as good as Norton, you can still get viruses.  A good thing is to bring it in each year to a computer repair specialist and have it cleaned as an extra precaution.  Just call around for the best prices.

Hi Lois, I will use the free version of AVG after I finish the free trial of Avast antivirus. I also have Windows Defender on HP whenever I need it. Acer laptop are not the quality I approve of, HP Laptop tops can last about 6 years if treated good.

I heard that Acers were not that reliable.  Depending on what type of H.P. laptop some cost under $300

Lois I had to find out that Acer laptops are not that good as well. Maybe Acers are good for children ages 6 - 11.

Laptop Brands like Acer ,Dell ,Hp & more do not effect on the performance of Anti virus or in other words you can not Rate anti virus quality on the basis of Laptop brands . Anti virus performance & Compatibility can differ with Operating system (Like Windows 7,8 $10 Or Mac) . You have a Acer Computer that only support Windows Operating system , If you are using your computer very less or only for few specific task like email & Entertainment then the best thing you can use Windows Default Security ( For Windows 8 & above Called Windows Defender ,Windows 7 & Below called Microsoft security Essential ).  If you want to use third party Anti virus then you can go for 1- Norton ,2- Webroot, 3-McAfee ,Avg, etc in my Opinion .

Are you not a tech Savvy NO WORRIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Kristy, The Acer computer runs on Googlechrome notebook not Windows. That's why I sent it back to Best Buy, and exchanged it for an HP Windows 10. I installed Avast antivirus and then disabled the Windows Defender until I really need it.
