Activity Holidays for Kids and Adults in Limousin, S W France
Activity holidays for all the family in Limousin, France
The key to a happy family holiday is happy kids and, in my opinion, one of the best ways to achieve this is to tire them out. Why not take them on a mix-and-match activity holiday that will occupy both body and mind. Let their imagination run wild, let them play hard all day.
Give them plenty of fresh air, sunshine, good food and exercise and they'll have a wonderful time - and so will you. We live in one of the most beautiful, the cleanest, the most wildlife-rich and the least populated regions of France just on the borders of the Limousin, the Charente and the Dordogne, and yet it's one of the least well-know and least visited by tourists.
We run a guest house, Les Trois Chenes, that can sleep up to eleven adults and a gite (or holiday cottage, vacation rental, or even holiday villa), that can sleep up to seven adults. We run painting and drawing holidays, but we can also offer to help you plan your holiday of a life-time.

Where in the world is Limousin and Les Trois Chenes?
We are nestled in the heart of hidden France in the nature reserve of the meteorite of Rochechouart-Chasenon, itself within the natural park Perigord-Limousin created to preserve the natural beauty and rich wildlife of this special region of France.
Our bed and breakfast is just ten minutes away from the quaint medieval town of Rochechouart with its magnificent chateau, and half an hour from Saint Junien and La Rochefoucauld with its fairy tale castle. We are conveniently situated almost exactly halfway between Limoges and Angouleme.
Hidden? Why hidden? Because Limousin is relatively undiscovered. We have little traffic, no noise, clean air, space and plenty of time for our visitors, perfect for children and for their parents.
How we can help you plan your activity holiday in France
We can welcome you to our guest house and provide you with self-catering accommodation in the form of our gite, and we can help you to achieve your creative potential with our painting and drawing holidays, but we can offer so much more.
When you visit a new place for holidays or when you don’t speak the language organising activities can be a bit daunting and is certainly time consuming. At Les Trois Chenes we aim to please and to that end we offer to arrange activities for our Bed and Breakfast and gite guests free of charge. You can pick activities from our list or make your own suggestions and we’ll make the bookings for you.
Alternatively you can choose a pre-selected activity holiday week, or a part of it and then decide to go it alone or take advantage of my guidance and transport. We’ll tailor our activities according to your needs and time of visit so if any of the following takes your fancy, let me know and I’ll come up with an itinerary.
