   I've got a free ticket to anywhere in the world. Where would you like to go?
   
   I really don't have a free ticket, but where would you like to go if money was no object, everything was paid for?
   India, Australia, Nepal?

   As I have reached and passed the 1/2 a century point I feel motivated to visit New Zealand. It appears to be both beautiful and full of natural wonders. Majestic mountains, beautiful forests and shorelines abound, not to mention the fabulous people and places. Perhaps if enough Canadians and Brits visited New Zealand we could lobby to change the name to New Zedland without upsetting the New Zealanders & Yanks?

      My brother and his wife say the same thing about New Zealand - supposedly an awesome place.

   For me it would be the UK. Newcastle upon Tyne for my wife and Devon for me. We have always had the dream to visit our ancestral home. Maybe someday that "free ticket" will come along.

   I would like to go to Great Britain. I would like to visit a high street while they still exist. There's one in the TV show The Indian Doctor which is set in Wales.
   
   I would love to visit 221 B Baker street, London and check out the Sherlock Holmes memorabilia. I would love to go to Doc Martin country in Cornwall and visit one of the smuggler's caves along that coast.
   
   I would love to visit Sherwood Forrest and check out that tree that still exists from before King Richard's time. It is said to be huge, magnificent and a past rallying point for Robin and his men. I want to find out more about the legend of Robin Hood and also King Arthur before it is all taken away by political correctness.
   
   I would love to walk from England into Wales on an old Roman road. I would love to go on a dig either in Britain or in northern Italy. I would love to discover something that has been hidden in the earth for many years.
   
   I would also like to check out my family history. My grandfather was a Londoner before moving to Australia.
   
   The history of the ANZACS started in Turkey but it was in France where my granddad was wounded.
   
   He was with the Australian light horse.
   
   He left England for work in Queensland, Australia and got a job as the Australian version of a cowboy, a Jackaroo. He was possibly the original Pommy Jackaroo.
   
   Anyway, given the choice of going home and joining up, he chose to enlist in the Australian light Horse.
   
   Tracing what happened to him during WW1 would really be something. To do a proper job of it I need to travel.

   There are a lot of wonderful and interesting places around the world. Would that ticket be a round trip pass around the world?
   
   But seriously, I think I'll go to Santorini. The reason behind this isn't that clear even for me, but I guess the architecture and the simplicity of the area attracts me the most. It's the place that I really am very interested in since I was young. Then maybe also any tour in Europe would get me excited!

   Everywhere! Have passport will travel, but if I have to narrow it down how about  Australia with stops in Budapest, Morocco, and NYC  !  I have just been looking at the pictures my friend took in Budapest last month and it looks amazing. My best friend loves Morocco and sometimes lives there, I have been all over New York, but never to the city.  My husband wants to ride bikes in Australia and he never wants to go anywhere.  So if he's going I am going.
   On the more realistic note, the currently planned trip is to Spain to for the Camino de Santiago. With maybe a trip to Morocco to see BFF if she is there.

      The goal of the question was one place.
      Are you going to do the pilgrimage - walk the whole route?
      I think I've read it's an arduous hike -but from reports, well worth it.
      You'll love Spain! Morocco's cool, too

      Sorry, I got excited about traveling. We are scheduled to do the whole Camino.  I keep trying to talk my group into biking part of it.  I want to hike  the Pyrenees, because we hike mountains regularly.  I am not a fan of flat walking..
