What kind of information would you like to see on HubPages about Kenya and EastAfrica? Would you like to learn about business opportunities? Online learning opportunities? Tourism? Places to visit? Farming in Kenya? I am looking to fill a need, so please be specific where possible.
I'd like to read about wildlife conservation projects in Kenya and Tanzania. Do the governments help or hinder such projects? Are anti-poaching measures becoming more effective or less effective? And stuff like that...
Most of us know very little about Kenya, so I think you should be telling us about anything that you think is interesting. Remember, you won't make your money from hubbers reading your hubs ... you'll make it from traffic you receive from search engines.
It would be great if more people like chasmac make specific suggestions to inspire you, but nobody knows Kenya as well as a Kenyan does. I'm sure you could make an interesting list and work your way through it.
Good luck, and have fun.
I would like to know how to go about getting a death certificate from Uganda and Tanzania. The agency address, the cost, what information they need, are they willing to search date ranges, etc. You can add birth and marriage certificates if they come from the same general place and put it under the topic genealogy. I don't know how popular that hub would be, but it would help me a great deal!
Also, most people in the US don't think of Africa as developed, so you could maybe write a hub about the big cities in Kenya and the modern conveniences found there.
I think you're misunderstanding how HubPages works.
Over 90% of the people who read HubPages are not members of HubPages at all. So if you are asking people on these forums, who are all members, you are not asking your potential readers. You are asking your fellow writers, who will read your Hubs, but they're not your main audience.
I think a great place to start would be reviewing what is already published on the site. HP has a huge travel category with thousands of hubs. Look through the Africa and East Africa, Kenya categories and see what may be missing. You can take a broad, generalized topic and focus on one aspect of it. Also make sure to include your own photos if you can. Your goal is traffic outside of HP, but hubbers like to read onsite also. You can also gain traffic from Pinterest with interesting photos.
I would like to read more about the interesting aspects of daily life in Kenya, the distinct practices of the tribes and the culture in general.
I would love to see subjects relating to Wildlife. I am sure there are some very interesting animals in both Kenya and Africa. Perhaps maybe something close to home would also be interesting.
I love learning about wildlife and nature of different places in the world.
Arts and culture would be of interest for me, and the Kenya coffee beans.
Reading about other countries is always informative and fun, and teaches me something new. I've never actually done any reading on Kenya - quickly thinking I'd really like to know more about the attractions, why travellers would visit Kenya, how's the wildlife, is there any good places to go for a holiday. Another thing that I'd find interesting is to know when to visit Kenya, what time of the year will offer me the best things to do and the most value for my trip.
Personally I take anything I read that can teach me something new valuable, and reading about Kenya would be lovely!
Thanks guys for your comments. Feel free to keep them coming. I am aware that i should be writing for external traffic. However, i needed real perspective from other writers which you all provided. I will see what i can do.
I'm particularly fond of anything having to do with history, especially "quirky" history topics. I'm sure anything you write will be lovely!

I've just reached a landmark of 100 followers (yay, me!), which might not seem like much, but it's built up pretty slowly over time, and I've made sure to interact with everyone I'm following regularly (106 now), checking out new hubs, etc. It made me consider an interesting question:How do...

I've been studying Revelation for a couple years. I wonder if there is any hubbers who have studied this last book of the Bible. What insights and conclusions have you come to? I'm writing a series of hubs about what I've learned. Have any of you written some hubs about this, too? My searches...
