Hmmm, good question:
1) Italy
2) Costa Rica
3) New Zealand
4) Germany (This would be a genealogy trip)
5) Tokyo
Well the world is a big place and I haven't quite made it everywhere yet;) But so far my favorites are:
Okavango Delta in Botswana
Mala Mala/Kruger Game Reserve in South Africa
Kauai Island, Hawaii
Paris, France (and the environs like Giverny & Versailles)
Venice, Italy
Perth, Australia - beautiful place, lovely people
Christchurch, New Zealand (much changed now, sadly)
Ephesus, Turkey for its sheer atmosphere
A wonderful place called Imbil, north of Brisbane near the Glass House Mountains
Lac de Serre-Poncon in the Hautes Alpes, France - breathtaking
Not sure about the order of those though. I also think I should give more thought to my own country as there are so many lovely destinations in England and Britain. Top 5 here would be:
Durham, Cotswolds, York, Edinburgh, South Downs (my birthplace)
1. Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada
2. Oahu, Hawaii
3. Santa Barbara, California
4. Napa Valley, California
5. Buenos Aires, Argentina
1. France
2. New Zealand
3. Germany
4. New Orleans, Louisiana.
5. Florida
1) Perth, Australia - went vineyard hopping..loved it
2) Siam Reap, Cambodia - Angkor Wat is amazing
3) Vientiane, Laos - Loved the tranquility and 'untouch' feel to it..and best beer in SEA - Beer Lao
4) Pangkor Laut Island Resort, Malaysia - Peaceful and Serene
5) Karon, Phuket, Thailand - Beautiful People and Love the Food.
Since I've not traveled outside the USA, my answers are not quite as exotic as some of the other answers here, but the places I'm listing mean a lot to me. They aren't necessarily in the order of favorite. If I Had list a favorite I think The Rockies would be it.
Colorado Rocky Mountians
The Blue Ridge Mountians, both in Tn. and North Carolina
The Gulf Coast, Al.
The Shenandoah Valley West Virginia
Manhattan, NYC!
1 - Japan; love everything, the attitude, the trends, the people, the culture and even their sense of humour!
2 - India; too much going on in that place that is being neglected by traveller. seems as thou only the adventurous goes there.
3 - Thailand; short gateaway for shopping (for me)
4 - Korea
5 - Hong Kong
Paris, France
Beziers, France
Cannelle, France
Salzburg, Austria
Bar Harbor, Maine
I live in Atlanta. We have so many fun things to do here. I love it here. I would love to visit New York. The city that never sleeps.
I have always wanted to see the place where Jesus was born, Jerusalem. I am so ambitious and my dreams are as high as Mt. Everest in India and the Eiffel Tower in Paris so I wanna go see these places. I am romantic and I wanna be serenaded as I ride the gondolas in the Vienna rivers. I am also adventurous so I want to be mesmerized by the length of Angel Falls in Canada.
My first destination would be:
Cotswolds
Bournemouth
Torquay
Kent
Scarborough
