What was/is on your bucket list?

Write down an experience or achievement that was once on Your Bucket List and you've completed it.  And also share another item from your wish list that's to be done in the future.

My completed bucket list item was: visiting Rome, Italy again after many years. And something I'd like to do one day soon is: swimming with dolphins.  Now it's your turn to share!

I have written two hubs about my bucket list. The first was a little lighthearted, like putting a telemarketer on hold. The second was a little more serious. In reality, I think your bucket list will change from day to day, as life changes from day to day. You may have some things you really want to do, but there are some things that just fill out the list and might easily be replaced if circumstances change.

I used to be a telemarketer and we had things we would say to people for a stir! When kids would be told to tell us their parents were not home we would say thats ok tell them we will call back the same time tomorrow - let them expect a call

Larry, I agree with you that the bucket list might change over time and the most important things will stay on it until they are completed. I see my bucket list as a reflection of my hopes and dreams that also provides inspiration.

My list contains intentions to see my own country. It is a big country with many interesting places to see,and many I haven't seen,so I will make plans to see most of these in the summer since it is more comfortable.
I have plans to go see the beautiful tulips in Ottawa,May 2013, so that's a start. I have seen but not absorbed some of the places. Going by on a bus or train is not what I mean.

We often plan vacation to far away cities and forget to see the places that are near us. I love your idea, Baygirl33, of discovering your own country and enjoying the sights nearby.

I am achieving so many things on my bucket list as we are exploring Europe in a campervan - Off to Rome tomorrow !!! I do have a hub about creating bucket lists and some of what is on mine . As we travel more ideas come up so it ends up an ongoing bucket list however we are having a fantastic time . I really want to visit Greece which I am planning + I would love to do a hot air balloon ride as well as live ages to keep enjoying time with my husband.

Go to France. Even better than that, I've been to England, France, Germany, Hungry, Mexico, and Romania. What I'd like to cross off consists of buying a boat. My husband and I got our boating licenses together and it's something we have been wanting for a while.

Becoming a boat owner sounds like a lot of fun. Hope you'll be able to cross that off your list soon, Iburmaster.

I write a new list every year. A couple years ago my list included meeting my childhood hero, James Drury, the Virginian and visiting my cousins in Toledo, Ohio. One trip and I was able to check off both of these. I also completed another writing course that year and welcomed another diploma. From last years list:  I quit smoking nearly seven months ago. Check.  I got to travel to Tennessee and visit Graceland and Nashville. Two checks. I started working on a novel. Check. This year I hope I can check I finished the novel. And plans for more travel are on my list.

Hi Diana, this is very inspirational. I might go for the annual bucket list based on your example. The more we wish for, the harder we'll work and at the end go beyond our own boundaries.
