   Take inventory of everything I have (clothing, tools, food, etc). That will form the basis of any short term (water, food, shelter) and long term (escape/rescue) planning.

   As long as I am stranded with food, water and a ton of books I am stretching out on the beach working on my tan.  Maybe would like my Bible and a couple of journals to write in.

   First give thanks that it is not a desert island. Then mourn the fact that I am away from friends and family. Then be grateful I am alive. Then cry about my desolation. Then take small exploratory outings ever expanding them. Then grieve the fact I am alone. Then get on with things and enjoy the beauty. Alone has it's advantages and I would aim to find them. Beauty has it's treasures and I would know them. Life could be worse than being in a place surrounded by beauty.
   I would slowly build a huge boat. But very slowly and very large.
   I have a wonderful family and great friends but have dreamed of being totally alone.
   Interesting concept.

    Look for water and coconuts/fruits. Weave a hammock, find two good trees to hang it from, then lay back and smile. (Yes, I know how to weave a hammock!)

       I have probably read thousands of books. I can remember most of them. No, i think I would just like to hammock, swim, and listen to the peace and quiet.

       I read the whole series years ago! Still like Isaac Asimov better. Asimov wrote hundreds of great stories!
