Yes tomorrow I fly up to my home state of Vermont for a much needed vacation! It's peak fall foliage season up there, so I'll take lots of pics and videos for my Vermont website.
Got all my sites post-dated for the whole time I'm gone, I love that! I think I'll get bored fast however. I'll still go online and do some work here and there with my laptop.
Here's some pics from last year:
A big "Ay-uh" to you, Bill Manning!!
(or is that said only in NH and Maine?)
Regardless, I will eagerly await the opportunity to experience REAL fall colors through your posts!
Lots of red and yellow maples, please!
Thanks, I'm sure it will be fun. Although I'll be cold too, which is why I moved to Florida!
Ahhhh-yup is what I think most Vermonters say.
40s in the day, 30s at night is perfect Vermont weather!
Or I guess I should say 'was' as I totally understand the phenomenon of thinning blood!
I had the same thing happen when I moved from Boston to Cali.
*She says, sighing at the prospect of five 91 degree days in a row*
Have a great trip! Foliage should really be peaking by the time you get there. I'm in Connecticut, and it has just barely started here. Weather is gorgeous--70s during the day, 40s or 50s at night. Wish the whole year could stay just like this!
I miss the fall foliage in Minnesota! I'm with MM - sighing at the forecast of 90's for the week. Enjoy your vacation!
Thanks again everyone. Actually up in northern Vermont in the mountains the season has almost gone by. They already had some good frost nights.
But in the valleys and southern Vermont it's still going good. 50's and 40's is cold for me, too cold! But after a long hot Orlando summer it will be nice,,,,for a week!
Well I'm enjoying my stay in Vermont. However it's suppose to rain for the next few days. So I went up to Stowe, Vermont and rode up in the gondola cars to the top of the mountain. Here's some pics!
Wow what a beautiful place, I can´t choose a picture from all of them. Thanks for sharing!!
You really had to post some pics of Vermont! I was born, and raised there. Now, you have made me very homesick due to the fact that I have not been home for over 5 years!
Well, I actually did not have much fun yankeeintexas. The very next day after these pictures I came down with a big cold and it turned cold and rained all the rest of the time.
It even snowed, that mountain in the pictures was covered with snow the next day. So, it really just reminded me of why I left in the first place.

Today I flew back to Orlando, Florida from my vacation in Vermont. I love being back where I can wear a T shirt and shorts instead of coats and boots! Here's a few pictures I took of the ski slopes and my friend's maple sugar operation. I'll go back up,,, in July!...

...but not too hard. Seems there's plenty already on it, and I'd hate to be the one who causes the hubs to snap off. (Sorry, bad pun, but hell, I just couldn't resist.)So, since I'm assuming that this is the official "newbie doesn't know what the he's doing" section, I...

I am preparing my 100th hub, and for that I want to review 100 hubs written by other Hubbers. Please post links to hubs - your own or those of others - that you would want me to include. One link per post, please. I intend to review only one hub for each Hubber.

I'll let my son know. he has a few do it yourself hubs that get a lot of views from searches, they're his best performing hubs. I'll send him the link to this thread as he never enters the forums. thanks.
