How many of you use social media for getting users to come to your Hubs?
I usually post my articles on facebook and share them with my friends that way.
I normally announce my new articles on my Facebook account. I have also posted information on videos on youtube that deal with topics similar to my topic. There are a lot of people randomly searching the topic of chemtrails, but a lot of people are not putting all of the connections together. My articles bridge a lot of gaps for people, where hopefully my information will have a more powerful impact.
I use Twitter and Facebook, and also submit to Stumbleupon (I don't think that one is a social site). Redditt is a social site to a degree, and I have posted to them a few times, but it has not been very effective for me. My hits to places I submit to come from the first three I mention.
Facebook and Twitter are the two main sites I use for all my hubs because most of the views come from these two sites. It also depends on how many followers and friends you have on those social media sites, they can help to promote your hubs, too.
I use LinkedIn a lot to promote my Hubs. I usually get a fantastic responses. I also use forums extensively.
I use the social sites to get some of my traffic for sure. I have had some good returns with sites like reddit when placing the hub into the appropriate sub reddit and include a favorable title. Have had success with a few other sites to different degrees.
I use twitter to promote my hubs. I usually tweet them once a week.
frankly speaking i dont. i do not promote my hubs in anyway except maybe through links on articles
I always post a link to new Hubs on my Facebook profile, as well as on the "walls" of some friends and groups I belong to there.
I mainly write about music and movies so I'm also a member of numerous forums devoted to those subjects. When I publish a new Hub on either topic I'll post the links there as well. (I should point out that I am also long time active member at most of said forums, and don't just drop in simply to post links -- if you do that, forum communities generally will treat you like a spammer and ignore you.)
I've tried linking at Digg and Reddit and gotten next to no response from them so I don't even bother with them anymore. There's so much going on at those sites that unless you're lucky enough to start the next viral sensation, you get lost in the shuffle very quickly.
I started a Linkedin profile when I was job hunting a while ago and used to put the links there too, but I rarely, if ever, use Linkedin anymore. I never got many "bites" on my Hubs from there anyway.
I don't I keep it private to my other circles and was surprised when I did research on a picture and my hub popped up. I was on my phone and just realized that the whole world could get a link through GOOGLE!!!
There has been a tremendous amount of change in the global markets in the past few years. This has predominantly due to the fact that there is a shift in the consumer mindset, consumption patterns, changes in demography and organizational attitude brought through by advancement in technology.
I use Facebook and twitter but I know I have not even scratched the surface with the possibilities.
I use +1, twitter and digg social networking site for promoting my articles.
'Stumble upon' also would be a nice option that skyrocket the page views. But people fear of 'adsense' as they are inorganic views.
Well i just started hubpages , even though i registered several weeks back, That being said i have not used social media yet. I know I should start soon.
I do, but not for every Hub/blog. What I am afraid of is becoming the annoying facebook friend who is always begging her friends and family to read her posts (because no one else will).
If something I write related to my friends, I will post it, otherwise, I try hard not to go overboard, and gain fans the old fashioned way.
I use facebook and tweeter to create a voice for my hubs, and i think the return is up to my expectations
I connect my 2 accounts to make the job easier for me. I think that is what social media company do too.

If we pump up our use of social media, i.e., marketing our articles more, will it help increase our traffic much? Or won't it make much difference because we are more dependent upon organic traffic? Something tells me we might have to wait out this drought. What say you?
