How do I turn my hub address into a clickable link.

I understand backlinks.  I just need to know how to make my hub address into a clickable link so I can post it on blogs and other websites.

I wrote out an answer for this question, but unfortunately hubpages automatically altered it and deleted all of the important info.

Rain Defence, well, thanks for trying.  That sounds kind of strange that HP would do that.

I'm going to try my best to answer your question. Try pulling the page up with your hub on it that you would create a link for. I use Mozilla firefox, and the hub page address is on the bar just above the top of the hub. Take the pointer of your mouse, and left click on the end of the hub address and drag your mouse pointer across to the other end, until the whole address is highlighted in "blue". Then right click on the blue highlighted hub address, and a box should appear. Left click on the word "copy" in the box. Now you have the link to the hub address. Go to the page  where you want to include your link, and right click on the spot where you want it to be. Now another box should come up, and you want to left click on the word "paste". That should be it, and now you are done. I tried writing this for you as I was doing it myself, so I hope I gave you good directions. I think and hope this answers your question, and after a few times of doing this it should become second nature. Just have fun while your here on the hub pages, and keep on hubbing  smile

Goody5,  thank you for that answer.  It is very clear.  Actually, I already do this.  What I am wondering is if there is a way to make that a clickable link.  I can paste it, but whoever wants to use it will have to copy and paste it to their browser

It seems that I worded this question so that know one knows what I mean.  In our capsules there is the chain icon.  It turns text into links.  Our web address for backlinks needs to be converted to a link when posted on a blog or other site.  How do we accomplish this.  Without actively converting it, it is just a string of characters.

So what you're asking is, how do you create a hyperlink?

You know how to do it in a word processing program or on HubPages.  On most other revenue-sharing sites (like Infobarrel, Wizzley, Xobba etc), and on forums, it's usually the same process.    It's also the same on most blogging platforms - so if you're posting on your own Blogger or Wordpress blog, it's the same again.

If you're talking about placing links in comments on other people's websites or blogs, that's considered spamming and your comment will probably be deleted anyway.  Most Comments systems ask you for your website when you comment, and if you fill that in (simply paste in the URL of your Hub), your name will become a link to that URL when your comment is posted.

Marisa, Thank you.  That is exactly what I am asking.  I want to place backlinks in the appropriate way.  I've tried reading about it and it seemed they were saying to post in blogs.  But I agree it would be spamming.  How do you deal with backlinks?

Go to the page you want to link. Copy and past address, you know what i mean? Go to the page and right click on address bar, copy. Then paste to your blog.
I did it with my profile page and put the link on my web page/ favorite links page.
If you go to www.Petesuniverse.com and click on favorite links you will see what i mean. It is the first link. I did it last night.
