I have the highest traffic I've ever seen but mediocre earnings. Why?
Nothing has really changed about my account and I get more traffic then ever, but my earnings are about 60% of what they used to be when my traffic was lower. How is that possible and why is it happening?
I'm seeing the same thing, and my CPM is at an all-time low right now. I'm also concerned that the ticker that tells us when our stats were last updated is gone.
Maybe advertisers are simply spending less now, but I really don't know. I hope things will pick up because this situation is not giving me enough incentive to keep up my efforts.
I said that in September when traffic tanked. The people talking about AdSense are right, the money isn't there like it used to be, but you'd think we'd have gotten a memo or something!
Haha! Loved the comment about the memo!
Being a new writer here this is somewhat discouraging. I am willing to stick with it based on the community here though.
yeah, i am having the same problem too. SOne of my hubs have high traffic but the earnings are just 50 cents per day. Disturbing....
Hi,
If you want to increase your earning then you should choose keywords in your hub those are high in CPC only if your aim to earn from Google adsense. Go to keyword spy and search keywords those has high CPC. Normally law, legal and injury related keywords has high CPC.
Hi,
I have done that and I think I've found my niche. It is technology and my best hubs suggest big commercial intent and the same hubs with the same keywords were doing great before. I don't think it's me this time. My keywords are great for CPC.
I read somewhere that last year Google's Adsense did not fare so well because advertisers have tightened their belts. So in response it seems that Google has lowered their advertising prices to maintain their client base. This would trickle down to us in the form of less earnings.
Google are actually not in control of their ad pricing. The price is determined by bidding, so if advertisers are fewer and willing to pay less, the price will automatically drop.

I have noticed that for the past few weeks, especially this past seven day period, that my earnings per view has dropped dramatically. On an average, for the year I have been here, even during the slump viewing times, I would earn approximately .50 per 100 page views. That is a give or...

What determines how much you get per click in Adsense? Is it the topic, or some weird witchy-brew no-one really understands?I ask because 2 things have confused me, looking just now at my account, for the first time in a while.my Easter Eggs hub has been getting lots of traffic and a few clicks...

Today is really exciting, Adsense just reached $15.51 for today! (with 4 hours or so left in the adsense day) Highest so far has been $10 and some change. A great majority of the $15 came from one click (truly shocking amount), so today is definitely a 'fluke'. Over the last few days, my earnings...

I have a topic that I researched in Google keyword tool. There were thre columns- Competition,Global Search and Local Search. WhatI realize from reading other hubbers is that traffic and clicks depend on 'evergreen' topics, knowledge, interest, luck, precise keywords for search engines, satisfying needs...

I was refraining about talking about this but it really is bad. Last month with adsense was my most profitable month, but this month so far I got 3 clicks...What could have made this change?-New Hubpages Layout?-April 1st Conflicker Virus? I was thinking these two things can't be so harmful to my...

Having been with Hubpages for getting on two years now, and having penned 83 Hubs, I think it's time I threw the towel in. Over that time, I conscientiously stuck to all the rules and guidelines, and was rewarded by views gradually rising to around 350 per day with earnings around $25 per month. I...
