Today is really exciting, Adsense just reached $15.51 for today! (with 4 hours or so left in the adsense day) Highest so far has been $10 and some change. A great majority of the $15 came from one click (truly shocking amount), so today is definitely a 'fluke'. Over the last few days, my earnings have been less than spectacular so it all equals out.
The lesson here is to keep your hubs up, even if they have lower scores and barely get any views (if they have a high earning potential)! This particular hub barely earns anything and today it redeemed itself. I am so glad I never deleted it.
Now, if only EVERY day would be like this!
That's Awesome !!!! You have alot of great hubs, well deserved Girly Girl !!
Cool, and you are right about the poor traffic hubs. I have a poor traffic hub but with super high paying keywords and when it hits it hits big...lol I've had a few $16+ days because of it.
My strategy all along has been to look for keywords that pay a reasonable amount but also get a reasonable amount of traffic (this gives a steady income of $5-$10/day so it works ok) but...I think I might start doing higher paying keywords with very little traffic, like this hub to supplement my daily base income.
I wrote the hub I was talking about as a test, it was around the time I tested the term "sexiest" too. "sexiest" gets tons of traffic but very low paying adsense, maybe a couple cents per click. The other hub get mega dollars per click but very little traffic. My goal since then has been to find the middle ground and I think I have. The adsense is now earning $4 to $5 a day and the Amazon is taking off. I spent months trying to get with Ebay and finally made it but Ebay sux so I don't even promote them.
I applied for eBay...twice, I think? Never heard back the second time, so I've given up for the time being. I make an extra $30-$50 a month with Amazon, so that's a nice bonus. I'm assuming eBay would just damage those earnings.
Ebay doesn't suck at all. But it takes longer to figure out how to promote it. Once you're comfortable with Amazon. Start browsing over there and work on a strategy.
Why? Amazon has at most a 24 hour cookie. Ebay has a 30-day cookie. It is worth the effort. I promise.
Hey thats great info... but could you pls tell how to find high paying keywords?.... it would be a great unmatched help for beginners like me.
If you check out my hubs you'll find a topic on finding good keywords.
Go check out the Keyword Academy. Costs a $1 for the first month. Watch the first video on keywords. You'll feel that one video was worth much much more then $1 if your new to keyword research. The rest of the videos are well worth taking the time to watch too.
Spending $1 is the best move you can make if your unsure about how to do efficient keyword research. Then, keep the membership or cancel.
You can also try 30 day challenge for free
http://thirtydaychallenge.com/ its worth it just for the trial of market samurai
Shoemoney has a pretty good free course going for free, sign up and take the course or just go here to his directory and get all the lessons at once
http://www.shoemoneyx.com/course/
My highest earning hub is also a low traffic hub. I have a couple of hubs which take 100+ views per day, that are earning me a hell of a lot less than a couple of hubs that are lucky to get me 5 views a day! One of those just manages a stupidly high CTR on half decent keywords.
Nowhere near $15 a click though, a few dollars more like....
Would love some tips on key words! As a newbie, how to you get them?
You made this TODAY ? Today only ??? That is great news ! There is hope on HP then !
Congratulations! Google Adsense is quite rewarding though a little passive steady income in real time. I'm truly encouraged with Adsense.
It's all about having patience with your Hubs...some days will be pretty bad and right when you think that you're never going to make one more stinkin' cent ever again from this place -- BOOM, the click-fairy brings you a present.
You gotta have faith, people an this is a great example of why. I know that I have caught myself staring at my daily AdSense earnings just hoping that the $.01 turns into something bigger and eventually it does, so I've finally learned not to check it every 15 minutes.
Keep your focus on creating great content and the money will follow -- it just takes time for the magic to happen.
OK, so this is a creepy tooth fairy, but you get the picture.
Or in the words of Tantrum "I just keep building my web within this big web to try and catch those damn flies" or something like that.... I think that this is quite a good analogy.
That's a, errrr.... cute fairy?!?
LMAO!
Congrats GG!
Thanks HP!
I don't know about that creepy tooth fairy but I so love the click fairy! lol
Now I am traumatized. THANKS! lol That day ended up being around $16 and was truly a fluke...for now. It is nice to know that with more hubs, I can eventually reach that amount on a constant, daily basis. It may be a year or two, but I'll eventually get there. Go HP!
You are absolutely right Ryan Hupfer... we just have to waite while we write more informative and useful hubpages. To tell the truth, i've been here for only 6 days now, and im lovin it. I hope i'll also start earning someday.
So people like you are encouraging to newbies like me... and ofcourse those who like girly_girl09 has set some path for us to follow.... Rock on people...
stay away from tv... do good things
A definate Kudos needs to go out to you. I am going to take a look at some of your hubs right now.
thanks, guys! I had no knowledge, whatsoever, about internet traffic, advertising, etc. before joining HubPages. Thanks HP and to all the Hubbers out there who have taught me how to figure this stuff out!
I think you can teach some hubbers a few things yourself GG. Like the new pic
Good for you, Girly_girl!!! I can't wait to visit your hubpages anytime now.
Great news! And proof one shouldn't delete hubs, unless there is an utterly compelling reason.
you never know what is going to be successful one day to the next! You go Girlygirl!
Congratulations on your recent victory. I am very happy for you as it is well deserved. Here's to many more $15 + days to come.
great job on your AdSense earnings! I am still in the lower range myself.
Congratulations, that is great. Clearly the passive aspect of that adsense income has worked for you today. Hope all is going well with school. I know you must be busy.
Congrats girly girl! Nice to see good work payed off! (If you'd call this work)
"Why? Amazon has at most a 24 hour cookie. Ebay has a 30-day cookie. It is worth the effort. I promise."
Nellies got it!
eBay most def does not suck! They just got played very hard by blackhat marketers, cookie stuffers and even their own partners in the affiliate game.
So now they are being more careful,
Its all about targetting your products well - most of the time thats not even what you sell but make it very relavent, get them to click so you can get that cookie in there
Congrats on the high earning day GG!
Congrats, Girly_girl! Hope that in future your earnings will be even higher...
That's great! Congrats... I have never crossed adsense $15 a day . It also makes me realize that i need to put some efforts to write hubs on highly paid keywords.
it all comes from hard work and not giving up. i am almost willing to bet it makes you want to work just that much harder.
Congrats on a great day. I am a newbie and so far my best Adsense day has been 2 dollars. A far cry from where you are but I will be there.
Congratulations and well done GG. I've always found quite a few tips i've learnt from you on the forums especially. I know you deserve this, and more.
Cheers
You have given good tips for Adsense earning.Regular updates are useful .
Well done! All of the clicks to my hubs have been at a lower range, so despite getting lots of traffic the earnings are relatively low. However, this should hopefully change with time as I write hubs with better paying keywords (although at the present time I tend to choose hub topics based purely on what I think I could easily write a hub on!).
It is so up and down, mine goes from a half a dollar to a full $6 on Friday, Adsense never fails to surprise me. The secret is to keep writing but I am just too lazy !
hey congrats girly...i must says u have gr8 hubs..keep it up
Great job Girly. Thanks for the encouragement from all the posts. Just starting out. Let's encourage the spirit of expression and the scribal instincts of those of us who have decided to share our thoughts and ideas.
Bless you all.
Nice one, GG - all the hard work is paying off! It must be great to have an income coming in so that you can concentrate on your studies
BC - Good result for your lot this weekend. Could make for an interesting Premier league this year
Might put a few Euros on a top four finish/Adebayor top scorer double
Yeah but I think Adebayor is gonna get well punished for his head staggers and I can see a 3 or 4 match ban which will put him out of the Man Utd match. But yeah it does look interesting although Spurs blew up bigtime. Deff looking forward to the European games this week !
I read about that - missed the Prem highlights this week, so I did not see the incident. Good player, but he can be a bit of an arse at times.
Mind you, City don't have any shortage in the forward department. Hughes signed so many strikers that I dug out my boots, just in case I got the call.
Sadly, I am now about as pacy as a lamp-post and have the turning circle of a London Bus.
Time to take up bog snorkeling, methinks
Looking forward to the Champs League - Barcelona have to be favourites, although I have Bayern Munich down as an outside bet.
Nice one, GG! I'm still in dollars total on Adsense, but your experience gives me hope that things will soon improve for me.
I'm happy for you keep up the good work keep pulling out a rabbit from your hat nyahaha or should I say dollars woot...
He never liked Van Persie even at Arsenal, deff he was out to settle a few dressing room scores, and paid the price. Barca are my 2nd team anyway so deff want then to do well. Preston are still banging in a few good results !
Bit of a silly boy, really - he already punished Arsenal in the best way possible. I bet Hughes gave him an absolute rollicking behind closed doors.
Good start for PNE, but it is going to be a tough division. I was hoping that Newcastle would implode - nothing against them, but they are a rival! I can't see beyond West Brom, Newcastle and Boro this season - those 'parachute payments' make it difficult for anyone else.
Still, if we can keep hold of the manager, anything is possible
I hate anything that has Joey Barton in it even though I used to like Newcastle. Have a soft spot for West Brom though, and deff that will be a great division this year !
I dont mind West Brom, but only because I hate Wolves with a passion. Us Norwich fans sing "We only hate Wolves and Ipswich"...... goes back to Muscat wiping out Craig Bellamy's season (and thus any chance we had of a promotion fight that year), and then us thrashing them in a play off semi final.......
Muscat made Barton look like an angel......
Yeah it's similar as to why I hate Barton for leaving City after they put up with his thuggish behaviour. And I still haven't forgiven Shaun Wright Phillips for going to Chelsea and then returning. be damn ironic if he lost a regular place just as he did at Chelsea.
Gotta agree about Muscat though, slmey wee git !
I think he got taken for a few hundred grand, he ended somebodies career.... think it was Matty Holmes.... and about 5 players testified against him in court. He used to tell people he was going to end their career, and then break their leg or snap their cruciate ligaments. Bellamy testified against him I think, pretty sure that he had to pay out 300k.
Joey Barton should be banned from English football for life in my opinion, what kind of bloke puts a cigar out in a kids eye? Hes a pussy anyway, not sure if you remember that late tackle of Dickson Etuhu (another ex-Norwich lad) last year...... Etuhu decked him after the game, I know that for sure; I know his girlfriends brother. Should have broken his neck!
Agree - he is an odious little thug. Lee Bowyer is another one I cannot stand - he got one of our midfielders sent off last season - the team missed him in the play-offs.
I have trouble watching highlights over here, but I do like the way that West Brom play football. Better than watching one of Warnock's teams
Ryan - Felt a bit sorry for Norwich. They are a nice club with a good set of fans - hopefully they will mount a challenge this season. If it is at the expense of Leeds, even better
Its ok saying that you feel sorry for us, but its the apathy of the "nice" fans that has seen us sink this far. For as long as there are 18000 mugs paying dear old Delia for season tickets, they are condoning the cronic neglect of the footballing side of Carrow Road. The Norwich fans are far too nice, she should have been driven out a long time ago. We sold Joe Lewis for 400k to a team in a division below us, and spent that money on refurbishing Delia's restaurant. Joe Lewis is now playing in the division above us, for the England Under 21's, has a price tag of £2m+, and we are playing a loan goalkeeper. The people that are willing to condone such a lack of vision or ambition are the ones that have allowed us to sink.
So please dont feel sorry for us, we are just not the Norwich City that used to play some of the best passing football in the country, that used to churn out some of the best talents in the country, and used to punch well above our weight. If you see gates of 14000 at Carrow Road next year when we dont go up, this is not glory hunting, this is those weak fans realising that they are being taken as mugs.
25000 people week in week out in the Championship, yet a PROFIT every single year in transfer fees, our darling Delia has asset stripped out club, pushing money into off field activities. It is nothing more than a shell of its former self.
Sorry, thats my rant.
Ryan: It was a good rant - I know exactly how you feel. I started watching PNE in the season that we finished bottom of the league and had to apply for re-election. BC is a Man City fan, so knows all about heartbreak.
Hope the fans manage to sort it out - it can be a graveyard down there
The problem is Sufidreamer, we have had a billionaire offer to buy the club, pay off its £21m debts, and give us £20m for players. That billionaire made it clear that he did not expect a penny of that money back, he is a Norwich fan. Delia Smith refuses to talk to anybody that wants to buy the club, she has admitted this. Instead, we are tintering on the edge of administration in our lowest position in the football pyramid since the early 1960s.
Apologies for this rant continuing, I do like to get this off of my chest, but whilst everybody bleats on about how nice Delia's little Norwich is...... there are thousands of fans that would like to see her driven out of Norwich. There are even some, which I dont condone, that have gone as far as to say that they want her dead.
Everything about our club and its traditions is dead. The club didnt even give the fans the chance the give Darren Huckerby a send off, the biggest legend this club has had since its Premiership days; he won us promotion, kept us up another year, and the worst thing is...... the fans PAID for him. Another rich fan PAID his wages. He wasnt even the clubs player for them to dictate that sort of action. He was sent packing with no goodbye. The same thing happened to Iwan Roberts, Malky Mackay, we will never forget these things.
Anyway, sorry I will shut up now, I am just rather frank with my opinions. As for Preston, what do you think about Chris Brown? Didnt work out with us, just couldnt stick the ball in the net, but we all respected him for his work rate and attitude. Doing ok for you now right?
Rant away, Ryan - if Delia continues to stonewall the billionaire, there is a nice club in Lancashire who would love to talk to him.
Seriously, though - that does suck. It is difficult to see something that you love asset stripped and left empty. I know that it is scant consolation, but the fans have to keep the faith and still turn up - difficult when you hate the board. No need to shut up - this is the sort of news that I don't hear over here, so it is interesting.
Chris Brown: My connection is too slow for highlights, so the info is second hand, but the Preston fans like him. He seems to be striking up a good partnership with Mellor so should have more starts this season.
BC - catch you later. I have to do some work, too - it is nice to catch up on the footy. We should start a thread sometime, but I am a little busy at the moment.
Enjoy the food
I think everyone hates Warnock (well us Bristol City lot do anyway!).
Lee Bowyer deff a number 1 thug as is our Man Utd fav red carder Mr Scholes. Sent of 9 times now, deff he's up there in the top 3 !
Would love to see the likes of Bowyer and Barton come up against Souness, Whiteside and Big Mick Harford in their prime. Not fit to lace.
One for you, BC - big Gerry Taggart throttling Dennis Wise. One of footballs greatest moments
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb5Igo2LvNs
Oh I recall that well, my son used to go out with Gerry Taggarts niece, tis a small world. Jeeeez now Souness ya deff wouldn't mess with, that guy you have to respect bigtime.
I met Souey when I was a kid - intimidating, to say the least. Never met Gerry Taggart although I heard that he is a very nice fella off the pitch.
His niece is a little stunner, pity they broke up. Anyways good chatting to you mate, off for food, have missed chatting footie with you, take it easy !
Darren Huckerby is still remembered by us City fans as well, love the guy !
Awesome player, very under rated in English football. We all love the guy for halving his wages from 25k to 12.5k a week to join us, before proceeding to reject 40k per week from other clubs on several occassions. He loved us, just like we loved him. Shame that his loyalty wasn't considered enough for a farewell.
That thing about him being too good for the championship and not good enough for the premiership is a complete load of bollocks too..... he made his name in the premiership up front for Coventry; wasn't really given a chance with Leeds or Man City (in the prem of course, pretty much scored the goals that took you up), and in his single premiership season with Norwich...... scored 7 goals from the left wing for a relegated team. Nobody can slate 7 goals from the wing, even Pires and Ljunberg struggled to make that in the Arsenal glory days.
I still see journalists state "too good for the championship, not good enough for the premiership", I would like to give them all a big slap. Huckerby was a class act.
I see my earnings starting to increase each week. Even though I haven't made payout,it is just around the corner!

Okay, today I have noticed drastic decrease in page impressions and record low earnings in my adsense account. I had not thought before today that google algorithm change will have such a effect on our traffic and earnings. Today, I find myself what I was three years back. Only a few cents per...

Is it site wide? I have been making adsense money in the range of 13-16 $ a day for more than 100 days. Now it has decreased to below 10$ per day. I track my referral traffic as well as my own traffic. Is something wrong? I still get the same amount of traffic. Paul, Jason, Maddie, anyone? What I...

I just hit $1,000 of Adsense Earnings this month. This is a huge deal for me, because I had to learn a whole new way of making money - and I hated every minute of it. So why did I do this? I live right next door to Rhode Island, which passed an internet tax law, resulting in RI affiliate marketeres...

Well... I had thought about the 30 in 30 challenge but never got around to it for various reasons. With me being in Iraq, my time is divided amongst many, many things and therefore, I do not get to make it online every day. However, I really wanted to do 30 in 30 so I had to make myself a...

I have read several hubs regarding adsense. They are good but most of them are not telling anything concrete. I am looking for tips that work. Please advise some ways to increase hub traffic because without traffic everything else is not worth. Thanks
