Highest adsense earnings day, ever!

Today is really exciting, Adsense just reached $15.51 for today! (with 4 hours or so left in the adsense day) Highest so far has been $10 and some change. A great majority of the $15 came from one click (truly shocking amount), so today is definitely a 'fluke'. Over the last few days, my earnings have been less than spectacular so it all equals out. smile

The lesson here is to keep your hubs up, even if they have lower scores and barely get any views (if they have a high earning potential)! This particular hub barely earns anything and today it redeemed itself. I am so glad I never deleted it.

Now, if only EVERY day would be like this! big_smile

Cool, and you are right about the poor traffic hubs.  I have a poor traffic hub but with super high paying keywords and when it hits it hits big...lol  I've had a few $16+ days because of it.

girly_girl09posted 15 years agoin reply to this

My strategy all along has been to look for keywords that pay a reasonable amount but also get a reasonable amount of traffic (this gives a steady income of $5-$10/day so it works ok) but...I think I might start doing higher paying keywords with very little traffic, like this hub to supplement my daily base income.

        1. livewithrichard profile image72

I wrote the hub I was talking about as a test, it was around the time I tested the term "sexiest" too.  "sexiest" gets tons of traffic but very low paying adsense, maybe a couple cents per click.  The other hub get mega dollars per click but very little traffic.  My goal since then has been to find the middle ground and I think I have.  The adsense is now earning $4 to $5 a day and the Amazon is taking off.  I spent months trying to get with Ebay and finally made it but Ebay sux so I don't even promote them.

I applied for eBay...twice, I think? Never heard back the second time, so I've given up for the time being. I make an extra $30-$50 a month with Amazon, so that's a nice bonus. I'm assuming eBay would just damage those earnings.

I've been turned down by eBay twice. Once when I started my HubPages account and once after I had my first AdSense payout. I probably won't try any more.

Ebay doesn't suck at all. But it takes longer to figure out how to promote it. Once you're comfortable with Amazon. Start browsing over there and work on a strategy.

Why? Amazon has at most a 24 hour cookie. Ebay has a 30-day cookie. It is worth the effort. I promise.

Go check out the Keyword Academy. Costs a $1 for the first month. Watch the first video on keywords. You'll feel that one video was worth much much more then $1 if your new to keyword research. The rest of the videos are well worth taking the time to watch too.

Spending $1 is the best move you can make if your unsure about how to do efficient keyword research. Then, keep the membership or cancel.

My highest earning hub is also a low traffic hub. I have a couple of hubs which take 100+ views per day, that are earning me a hell of a lot less than a couple of hubs that are lucky to get me 5 views a day! One of those just manages a stupidly high CTR on half decent keywords.

Nowhere near $15 a click though, a few dollars more like....

It's all about having patience with your Hubs...some days will be pretty bad and right when you think that you're never going to make one more stinkin' cent ever again from this place -- BOOM, the click-fairy brings you a present. smile

You gotta have faith, people an this is a great example of why. I know that I have caught myself staring at my daily AdSense earnings just hoping that the $.01 turns into something bigger and eventually it does, so I've finally learned not to check it every 15 minutes.

Keep your focus on creating great content and the money will follow -- it just takes time for the magic to happen.

So now they are being more careful,

I read about that - missed the Prem highlights this week, so I did not see the incident. Good player, but he can be a bit of an arse at times.

Bit of a silly boy, really - he already punished Arsenal in the best way possible. I bet Hughes gave him an absolute rollicking behind closed doors.

Good start for PNE, but it is going to be a tough division. I was hoping that Newcastle would implode - nothing against them, but they are a rival! I can't see beyond West Brom, Newcastle and Boro this season - those 'parachute payments' make it difficult for anyone else.

Still, if we can keep hold of the manager, anything is possible smile

        1. profile image0
ryankettposted 15 years agoin reply to this

I dont mind West Brom, but only because I hate Wolves with a passion. Us Norwich fans sing "We only hate Wolves and Ipswich"...... goes back to Muscat wiping out Craig Bellamy's season (and thus any chance we had of a promotion fight that year), and then us thrashing them in a play off semi final.......

Muscat made Barton look like an angel......

  32. profile image47
    badcompany99posted 15 years ago

Yeah it's similar as to why I hate Barton for leaving City after they put up with his thuggish behaviour. And I still haven't forgiven Shaun Wright Phillips for going to Chelsea and then returning. be damn ironic if he lost a regular place just as he did at Chelsea.

Gotta agree about Muscat though, slmey wee git !

    1. profile image0
ryankettposted 15 years agoin reply to this

I think he got taken for a few hundred grand, he ended somebodies career.... think it was Matty Holmes.... and about 5 players testified against him in court. He used to tell people he was going to end their career, and then break their leg or snap their cruciate ligaments. Bellamy testified against him I think, pretty sure that he had to pay out 300k.

Joey Barton should be banned from English football for life in my opinion, what kind of bloke puts a cigar out in a kids eye? Hes a pussy anyway, not sure if you remember that late tackle of Dickson Etuhu (another ex-Norwich lad) last year...... Etuhu decked him after the game, I know that for sure; I know his girlfriends brother. Should have broken his neck!

  33. Sufidreamer profile image84
    Sufidreamerposted 15 years ago

Agree - he is an odious little thug. Lee Bowyer is another one I cannot stand - he got one of our midfielders sent off last season - the team missed him in the play-offs.

I have trouble watching highlights over here, but I do like the way that West Brom play football. Better than watching one of Warnock's teams mad

Ryan - Felt a bit sorry for Norwich. They are a nice club with a good set of fans - hopefully they will mount a challenge this season. If it is at the expense of Leeds, even better big_smile

    1. profile image0
ryankettposted 15 years agoin reply to this

Its ok saying that you feel sorry for us, but its the apathy of the "nice" fans that has seen us sink this far. For as long as there are 18000 mugs paying dear old Delia for season tickets, they are condoning the cronic neglect of the footballing side of Carrow Road. The Norwich fans are far too nice, she should have been driven out a long time ago. We sold Joe Lewis for 400k to a team in a division below us, and spent that money on refurbishing Delia's restaurant. Joe Lewis is now playing in the division above us, for the England Under 21's, has a price tag of £2m+, and we are playing a loan goalkeeper. The people that are willing to condone such a lack of vision or ambition are the ones that have allowed us to sink.

So please dont feel sorry for us, we are just not the Norwich City that used to play some of the best passing football in the country, that used to churn out some of the best talents in the country, and used to punch well above our weight. If you see gates of 14000 at Carrow Road next year when we dont go up, this is not glory hunting, this is those weak fans realising that they are being taken as mugs.

25000 people week in week out in the Championship, yet a PROFIT every single year in transfer fees, our darling Delia has asset stripped out club, pushing money into off field activities. It is nothing more than a shell of its former self.

      Sorry, thats my rant.

Sufidreamerposted 15 years agoin reply to this

Ryan: It was a good rant - I know exactly how you feel. I started watching PNE in the season that we finished bottom of the league and had to apply for re-election. BC is a Man City fan, so knows all about heartbreak.

Hope the fans manage to sort it out - it can be a graveyard down there sad

        1. profile image0
ryankettposted 15 years agoin reply to this

The problem is Sufidreamer, we have had a billionaire offer to buy the club, pay off its £21m debts, and give us £20m for players. That billionaire made it clear that he did not expect a penny of that money back, he is a Norwich fan. Delia Smith refuses to talk to anybody that wants to buy the club, she has admitted this. Instead, we are tintering on the edge of administration in our lowest position in the football pyramid since the early 1960s.

Apologies for this rant continuing, I do like to get this off of my chest, but whilst everybody bleats on about how nice Delia's little Norwich is...... there are thousands of fans that would like to see her driven out of Norwich. There are even some, which I dont condone, that have gone as far as to say that they want her dead.

Everything about our club and its traditions is dead. The club didnt even give the fans the chance the give Darren Huckerby a send off, the biggest legend this club has had since its Premiership days; he won us promotion, kept us up another year, and the worst thing is...... the fans PAID for him. Another rich fan PAID his wages. He wasnt even the clubs player for them to dictate that sort of action. He was sent packing with no goodbye. The same thing happened to Iwan Roberts, Malky Mackay, we will never forget these things.

Anyway, sorry I will shut up now, I am just rather frank with my opinions. As for Preston, what do you think about Chris Brown? Didnt work out with us, just couldnt stick the ball in the net, but we all respected him for his work rate and attitude. Doing ok for you now right?

          1. Sufidreamer profile image84
Sufidreamerposted 15 years agoin reply to this

Rant away, Ryan - if Delia continues to stonewall the billionaire, there is a nice club in Lancashire who would love to talk to him. big_smile

Seriously, though - that does suck. It is difficult to see something that you love asset stripped and left empty. I know that it is scant consolation, but the fans have to keep the faith and still turn up - difficult when you hate the board. No need to shut up - this is the sort of news that I don't hear over here, so it is interesting.

Chris Brown: My connection is too slow for highlights, so the info is second hand, but the Preston fans like him. He seems to be striking up a good partnership with Mellor so should have more starts this season.

BC - catch you later. I have to do some work, too - it is nice to catch up on the footy. We should start a thread sometime, but I am a little busy at the moment.

            Enjoy the food smile

Awesome player, very under rated in English football. We all love the guy for halving his wages from 25k to 12.5k a week to join us, before proceeding to reject 40k per week from other clubs on several occassions. He loved us, just like we loved him. Shame that his loyalty wasn't considered enough for a farewell.

That thing about him being too good for the championship and not good enough for the premiership is a complete load of bollocks too..... he made his name in the premiership up front for Coventry; wasn't really given a chance with Leeds or Man City (in the prem of course, pretty much scored the goals that took you up), and in his single premiership season with Norwich...... scored 7 goals from the left wing for a relegated team. Nobody can slate 7 goals from the wing, even Pires and Ljunberg struggled to make that in the Arsenal glory days.

I still see journalists state "too good for the championship, not good enough for the premiership", I would like to give them all a big slap. Huckerby was a class act.
