Facebook has disabled my account after I posted links to my Hub Pages! Has this happend to you too?
In my Status Line where it says "What are you doing?" I put in the URL to my Hubpage. I changed it regularly. Today I went to log in and Facebook has disabled my profile, saying I breached their rules (I think from reading the notice it's because I am referring those using Facebook users to another website - Hubpages).
FaceBook disabled my account too - they never made it clear why - I too linked my hubs to facebook -then the twits had the audacity to send an email to me saying one of my friends asked me to join facebook and guess what - my dead account was one of those listed as friends who I could stay in touch with.... My disabled account is still being used in marketing to join facebook - FaceBook SUCKS
if all you're doing is posting URL's in the status bar, I'm sure that's why.
when I publish a hub, I post it to Facebook from the hub page, but it gets published on the wall, not posted in the status box. if I want it posted on my profile page, I use the share it feature from HP.
If you want your hubs into facebook then import you hubfeeds into the facebook . There is a specific tool for importing external feeds in the facebook.
The way Facebook's set up, you have to be careful about posting links into your "status update" box. Facebook has software to detect what they consider "spam", and if you are only posting links and no content into your "status update" box, the software flags it as spam. The easiest way to avoid this being flagged as spam while still posting backlinks to your hubs is to click onto the "link" tag directly underneath the status update box. This should open up a seperate box that contains the prefix "http://". Simply click on that box and paste your hub's URL. Another plus to posting links this way is that it will be displayed with a thumbnail pic (chosen from photos in your hub or hubpages profile), and be more attractive to potential viewers. Most importantly is that you avoid the spam software altogether and never run into this problem again. Contact Facebook's customer support and explain your situation and I'm sure they can reinstate your account. Best of luck and I hope this was helpful.
I linked some pages to my own commercial site and was warned to stop or I would be banned. So I learn't something last week when I was still getting my head around this system. Instead I have put approved affiliate links on the pages. I haven't earn't a dime yet but its fun to write and to publish.
No.
I use the "Share" button at the bottom of the Hub and haven't had problems -- yet.
I never made that connection --- until now --- but my Facebook page suddenly became mysteriously unavailable. It was shortly after I "shared" some of my Hubs on Facebook.
I've asked for password resets, etc., --- on all my email accounts. I've check my "spam" folders to make sure the reset emails weren't re-directed there. I've done everything.
Apparently Facebook has simply "blacklisted" me. They've never even told me why, or given me a chance to fix the problem at all.
It's kind of scary, because I have many causes and lots of good information on there. I've been building up and saving all my stuff for so long now, on Facebook. I even became re-acquainted with long-lost relatives, and found relatives I never knew I had.
no this can't happen..i have the rss of all my blogs on my FB ...i think your account might be hacked by some nasty geek who want to prove the world that he can conquer the world by hacking facebook pages :-/
no.....
i always add the link of my hubs..... i have never tried for url. And after this I would not try to add the URL.
I have posted Hubs on my Facebook account but I also frequently post status updates. My understanding is if you post Hubs too many times on Facebook they connect you with spamming or soliciting. So far they have not disabled my account.
This question answer session has been quite enlightening and now I will be most careful about posting Hubpages to FaceBook. I think the admins on HP should give us an update tutorial on this issue. I 'infrequently' post a URL from Hubpages to my FaceBook status using the LINK input and then add a little blurb summary to interest people in reading my Hubpages. If someone has the facts about how many links can be posted daily, that would be helpful. Health and Happiness to all.
I post my movie hub links to their corresponding actor fan pages all the time...and all it has brought me is a decent amount of traffic to my hubs.
I share my hubs via the share on Facebook link at the bottom of my hubs when they are published. I don't post mine as status updates. Furthermore, I post other comments from time to time as status updates: so far there doesn't seem to be a problem. However, I see how there might be if I never did anything except post links to my hubs.
I never had that problem happen before. I posted a link directly into my status bar before and they never said anything. But, I usually just click the "like" button on the hub. If I were you, that's how I would do it next time.

In reviewing my traffic sources recently, I noticed that I was getting traffic from a site called traffup.com, which I had never heard of before. I went to the site and signed up for it to see what it was all about, and found that someone had posted a link there to one of my hubs. I thought...

Does anyone know if the Hub Pages are deleting old accounts that have been inactive for a long time?

I can't seem to find an answer for this in the learning center. I have a large set of articles I've been writing for a while + some time on my hands to dedicate to Hubpages for the next couple of months. Would publishing 10 hubs a day benefit or disadvantage me, both in terms of hub score /...

Do You Have Goals For Your Hub Pages Account?I am a goal setter as I feel it helps me reach higher in my life. My goals for 2013 with hub Pages is to hit 340 hubs ( at 171 now in 2/13) and to reach at least the minimum payout amount of $50 each month. Anyone else have any specific goals?
