Merry christmas Hubbers..............Greetings in Advance.
Wishing all my fellow hubbers a blissful holiday season. Merry Xmas and a prosperous 2008.
I won't take much Holliday because of Work but Good Holliday for others
Merry Christmas to all of you! It has been a pleasure to enter this community. All the best :-)
A thought to all people on Earth who can't afford to celebrate it.
If Counterpunch's message has prompted you to do something about those who can't afford Christmas, visit
Instead of making a straight donation, you make a loan to help someone in a developing country start or grow a small business, which is much more constructive for their future than just giving them money for food today.
Merry Christmas to all!
Marisa that is great link, I like the idea that people directly lend to people in 3rd world countries. I'm not for pure donation except in extreme necessity.
I would love that kind of ideas to develop so as to counter the bunch of scammers/neocons/neoliberals from the World Bank / IMF / United Nations which are just maintaining a system of huge financial interests under the disguise of helping them with gov debts which is just about a scheme of pumping money through unjust taxation. Everybody should know that and read Confessions of an economic hit man:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Confessions_of_ … ic_Hit_Man
Coming back to kiva, what worries me though is to see the video of Bill Clinton. He was the biggest evangelist of creating huge gov debts in 3rd World Countries promoting the IMF/World Bank/United Nations so I would like to see neither Bush nor him nor any politicians in that kind of sites: we should stay between people and kick out all the politicians (I don't dislike politicians as much as most people do, I just say to warrant that such kind of ideas stay genuine we should not take the risk to make politicians involve). Neither Big Corporations.
I have looked further on to see how they work: it is deceptfull. It's more about marketing promotion of US/European Development organisations (for example I saw a "love christ" one ): entrepreneurs cannot post their projects directly, they have to go through these guys. When will they really free us from the Bankster's sectors ??? Moreover these banksters get money from kiva at 0 interest rate but will lend at the local rate and you have to support the risk not even them who are benefiting from the interests they will collect from the poors.
A merry Christmas to my dear friends! I love you all!

I hope everyone has a great holiday. I'm staying out of the political and religion forums as of now. I like to make this holiday a positive one...
