Not all zombies are evil. Some are understanding. Just saying.

But of course these are not the ones they shoot movies about. hmm

What are they understanding of?  The fact that we are food to them?  Or that we have brains and they want brains?
I have read books with smart zombies, but give me a classic Romero zombie any day.

I kind of liked in the implication in Land of the Dead that the zombies might be able to learn, or remember, things from their previous life...like how to use tools, solve problems...it adds an interesting dimension to the problem of avoiding them and fighting them.

I am sure.  I prefer the classic zombies.  Shuffling, stumbling, non-intelligent type.

That just sounds like the makings of a crappy movie.  Monster Island by David Wellington had smart Zombies in it.  Two of them, and it had mummies.  The mummies at a museum came back to "life".  It took a great effort to finish that book.  Crap with as big a C as I can make.

yep sad thing was that the movie came out in 2008 yikes Mummies that came back to life? Was that guy from The Mummy speaking his Egyptian and bringing them back? lol

          LMAO!!!

Although...I am reminded of Return of the Living Dead...where the female zombie who's strapped down to the hospital table tells them that brains make the pain go away...

an interesting idea: the zombie's perspective.

At the moment, I am proofing part three and making some alterations before posting it here.  The diary format has already been done with Day by Day Armageddon.  It is a GREAT book.  Written entirely in journal format.

No it was first person point of view from a survivor's point of view.  Chronicling each day of his ordeal.  People he met, things they did, places they stayed.  It is my favorite.

J.L Bourne is the author.  There is another one similar called Z Day is Here by Rob Fox.  Not as good as Armageddon, but good in it's own way.

You need to get a Kindle.  Seriously the best present I ever got.  I have used it daily since I got it back in August.  Books are CHEAP for it.  A brand new release is $10.  Some older books are FREE.  I get ALL my books for it now.  It also travels VERY well.

I still have my old paper books as well.  And I still read them.  Its just that the Kindle travels better than packing 20 books for 5 weeks.  When I am told I can only bring only 20 pounds of luggage.  All carry on, I have to sacrifice something.  And it usually ends up being my books.

hello.... well as i know the zombie don't know haw to swim neither can breath... they just wall under the water. like the pirate on the Caribbean lol.... why you so afraid of zombies?

What makes a dead body float in the water?

The gasses from decaying body tissue made by bacteria. That's why a body floats face down and "back" up. The gas gathers in the stomach and lungs.

A zombie, by definition, is either in a state of very slow decay or was in a state of decay and is in a permanent state of "undecay." So there will be no gas production and therefore they won't be able to float as their tissue, etc., would be deprived of oxygen that our bodies use.

    So no, they can't swim.

Although a half-zombie, half-boat zombie would be pretty cool, now that I think about it.
