I had hoped that I'd hit 100 sooner than this.

[Yes I know that my hubscore has absolutely no influence on my traffic or earnings.]

    I've hit 99 before.

Anyone else want to sulk because they can't earn the dollar? big_smile

[If you can't tell I'm bored and hubbed out.]

come one wrylit..hubbers like you inspire me to keep going...keep going..i am sure you would hit 100 soon...

        Thank you pisean. big_smile

And I'm sure I will eventually. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that writing nonstop hubs stops me reaching 100.

well it might be the case..initial hub have low points and could be effecting overall score..but your visits are increasing..in 4 months your visit are double than mine in 6 months...so i said you are truely inspiration for hubbers like me...

Unless you are in the HP inner circle, meaning the staff, you will never know what makes a Hubber score.

There's no rhyme or reason for us outside that circle to be able to make sense about how you get to a 100.

Right now, I'm at 100, but my traffic is way, way down, and so are my earnings with AdSense and Amazon and eBay. I have few Hubs, but a high Hubber score, and who knows what that is about???

Keep your eye on your goals. As others have said, what matters is the long term. This is a great place to do what you want and earn bucks too.

You've been here for 4 months, I for more than 2 years. I think it's worth the effort and the wait. What comes around, goes around. Put the work in, and it will pay off.

I find it kind of amusing that I have so few Hubs, have hit 100 many times (but don't sustain it like some). As for now, my earnings on AdSense and with the HP affiliates we can engage with are growing (despite the temporary down times), no matter what my Hub score is.

You've put an effort in that I have not. I'm not bored, but I have a different objective, maybe. I have a voice here, but not a goal to make money or HubScore. Yet, they both come.

      Hope this helps.

Sure, I will sulk with you.  I hit 99 for less than an hour and then dropped right back down.

I am quite sure we will both get there eventually.

I think we are both too prolific.

        *Slaps hand*

Ok ok I'm off to write my next hub.

I just realized something.  As the score can come and go so quickly, you could have been there and just not known it because you were not logged in at that time.

          Wouldn't that be sad?

LoL no. I rarely spend more than 8 hours away from hubpages! big_smile

I see we're in the same crazymaking boat, WryLilt!  For 3 days, my author score held at 99 and then dropped to 97.  It's maddening! smile  Pcunix has it right-maybe we slept through our metamorphoses-so sad, but tomorrow's another day!  *sigh*

    I kid,

Ive had a 100 once - im happy floating in the 95 range - that means Im not spending too much time interacting but im still getting some traffic

    (or so I hope)

You'll hit it soon.  But its just a number and quite frankly I am more interested in my earnings increasing than what my hubscore is doing

Hit 100 once and was 'over the moon' then. Joy lasted for only 24 hrs or so.

Still hoping it happens again, even though they say "dont worry about your hubberscore".

    But still, i worry.

I don't have doubts - well not about making money or getting good traffic.

Just doubts about if the amazingly complicated authorscore will ever catch up with me. big_smile

Wry, you made a good point above - as long as you keep up the prolific writing you may well not make it.

I've now seen 100 several times - always when work and family constraints have taken me away from the computer.  A week with only 1 or 2 new hubs and few forum posts seems to help a lot.

I think the initial low score on new hubs drags down the hubber score a point or two.

If you wish, you could keep writing and give the hubs to me - I'll publish them for you!  You know - anything to help a fellow hubber in their time of need....  big_smile

Haha thanks for the offer but I've already written hubs for a few people!

It doesn't seem to lessen the amount I write!

Easily fixed!  We'll set a goal of 10 hubs a day for me.  That way you won't publish any yourself, I get 5 or 6 quality hubs and your score (may) go up.  Everybody's happy!  I'll expect the first set tomorrow afternoon....

I gotta stop messing around on the forums. I'm off to go do my sandwich hub which I came up with over toast and coffee.

I hear ya.  I'm at 99 right now myself, and I don't even bother to get hopeful anymore.  That 100 is pretty stingy.  It doesn't like to award itself to many people.  If I ever find out where it's hiding, I'll ring it's filthy neck!!  Just kidding.

Good answer, I did the 30 day challenge in August, made 30 product hubs, my score then dipped but I'm making more money than ever... So if that's the price I pay for a score I'll take it any day.  cool

I don't feel so bad then.  I used to hit 100 all the time.  I seem to stay in the low 90s now, but I am making more money nowadays.  I'm like you, I'll take the money over a higher hubber score.

My hubscore went ker-splat from 93 to 74, and my traffic went from around 600 a day to now 3400 per day. That's when I learned how little hubscore actually matters.

I once had 97 in my early days here. Though 100 is appealing to the eyes. This hubscore stuff have put some hubbers into much worries than needed...Never bordered about it as it has nothing to do with getting continued traffic and earnings on my hubs. HubPages is my virtual home that means more to me than HubScore!

Not even a HubPages inner circle thing; cause Mr. Jason being the marketing executive in HubPages would have been seen with 100, even 1000 if possible but currently averaging at 66 and 70.

Anyway, good luck to they most concerned.

It was at 94 when I first came back.  It increased straight up to 98, hovered there, then dropped to 97 and stayed that way.  Now, it has dropped to 96 and I'm slightly sad.  The numbers are just really fun.
